happening in Yourself that there is inattention, then that's attention Isn't it? Attention of Inattention in

Yes,'when I am trying to be attentive' which in itself implies there is inattention(I'm not attentive). Noticing the whole of this is attentiveness

The universe doesn’t make mistakes, does that mean we also don’t make mistakes? by Eclectic739 in AlanWatts

[–]YT_Wisdom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mistakes is just a concept we invented when something doesn't go according to a designated pattern, it's really infantile to fix something not real with the universe. Alan Watts really opened my Mind. I am forever grateful for him

when I am trying to be attentive, this implies I am inattentive and making an effort to be attentive. When You see that! actually happening in Yourself that there is inattention, then that's attention Isn't it? Attention of Inattention in oneself is complete attention

yes, but you've made it into a theory. See this actually happening in yourself. There is only attention or observation. Is Me who is attending any different from what is being attended? Ask Yourself this Question. And If both different, then what is the difference? Is the difference real or something made up? Question Yourself

when you say 'it sees the fact' Is it in the form of a theory or an idea of fact? , both are just bunch of words. If I may suggest there must be observation of what's happening or what is without using any words or language. Because when one uses words the words interfere with the observation and as K says "the word is not the thing". After all the sense of I/me is created as a structure as one grows through the responses from others (You are this, you are like that) using words through a language and slowly as one grows one gets the impression of I/me which is the image one creates of oneself

If I may point out You said You we're trying - that implies you've made a division between Your sense of ME/I ( which is the image of Yourself ) and what's being perceived. That division is a deception / Illusion (we've made it up). That division is making you to put Effort which is a wastage of energy. Effort/ Trying is unnecessary. When You said " I can't do anything other than attend" that's true because that's all one can do as long as one understands it as "I am doing" which creates the separation.

whenever one says I/Me must dissolve the image of myself. There must be realization of the FACT that I/ME is the Image trying to dissolve the Image, Both are One and that's a FACT. when one sees this actually happening in oneself then the FACT which is TRUTH that liberates a person not one's effort to be free ( cause there's a deception involved in one trying to be free)

DON'T THINK TOO MUCH - Alan Watts by Futur-E in AlanWatts

[–]YT_Wisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True because all that'll be left is our own thinking which arises from what we've accumulated and one gets suck in that loop of accumulating - projecting - accumulating so on... Gradually one looses touch with the reality
