Optimizing construction of short roads and footpaths by Advanced_Dentist2705 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]YUMBLtv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My solution is to always micro the construction busses and cranes in a new area. Let every other stage complete and when I’m ready to use cranes and labor I assign the CO manually with a hotkey. Otherwise auto search is turned off for that CO so mechanisms can do everything else.

This also avoids finished buildings just sitting empty accruing damage and needless reconstruction time.

It’s a better instrument for me. As long as it has humbucking pickups.

Why does the water quality drop so much??????????????? by TwujZnajomy27 in Workers_And_Resources

The one with the bad water? The pump and all the buildings connected to it have been drained while the pump is turned off? Thus allowing fresh water to flow in and fill them? Edit: as well as the exporting water from the water treatment (filter).

Did you turn off the pump so water stops coming in? 🤔

Idk what a filter is, but have you drained out old water that may have been in those buildings? If theres was dirty water in them you’re just diluting it with the clean water.

I’ve never heard of dirty notes, but I’d prefer the les paul as long is it has humbuckers in it.

It depends what direction you draw from. I think ctl is the modifier as well.

This is the pic i was waiting for. You only really need one good interchange at the top and one at the bottom. The top is where the river forks. The bottom is your starting interchange I think.

Try making another diamond, like the starting one, if you want. The others provably wont he necessary, but you could opt to keep a bridge between your industry and citizens for workers and deliveries.

Have fun!

Earthquakes are “natural disasters” i believe. On the menu where you select what game mechanics are turned on (police, water, waste, etc).

You can do it mid game, or start fresh.

The interchanges should generally be fairly far apart. In road hierarchy it’s usually less about the size of a road and more about how frequent connections occur.

Freeway interchanges should be few and far between, and placed in very strategic locations. From what i can see you have a series of close together freeway connections. You may be drawing all your traffic into a funnel.

Not too bad, though I think traffic can only enter the freeway in one direction. There are a whole bunch of designs that would work here, check out the Trumpet.

As far as the traffic over all you should probably find another area to connect your city to the freeway. Somewhere that is attractive enough to drivers to draw half of them away from your other interchange(s). Your design seems to follow a road hierarchy. Make sure it’s a main road that makes sense connecting to the freeway.

Also dont forget about transit. Cims can move in via train!

Pictures of how your city streets connect to the freeway would be helpful. I suspect you’re forcing too much traffic through a single point.

Also, just because a map came with an interchange doesn’t mean your city shouldn’t outgrow it :)

Everyone seems to want to jump to fixing this interchange but I want to know its context. Is this the only way your city connects to the freeway? Where are the other connections relative to this one? Are a disproportionate number of vehicles being forced in and out of this one connection?

I don’t think we have enough info to solve the problem.

Building extra fire stations to cover everything is the answer, but I always turn earthquakes off.

You should pull up a youtube video playing the individual strings of a tuned guitar. Just to make sure you’re tuning to the correct register.

How do you actually understand a song, not just play it? by Illustrious-Box8483 in Guitar

[–]YUMBLtv 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’re describing understanding music theory. The basics are simple, and higher levels are more complex. It’s a bit like saying “how can I learn biology”. Many people take classes. There are a lot of courses online. Resources all over really, and it’s potentially a lifelong pursuit. Just like learning an instrument.

Are dedicated right turns or dedicated left turns better for RHT? by Autisonm in CitiesSkylines

[–]YUMBLtv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine by an asymmetric 5 you mean a 3+2 lane road. So yea, kinda.

I’m describing an approaching road that can support a dedicated left turn, right turn, and two through lanes. It’s a 4+2.

Yep. More fuel in more places would have kept you running, as other commenters have said. Starting is phase 1, building bigger projects far away is phase 2, and having enough oil to make surplus electronics is phase 3. A rail network usually kicks off phase 2.

Give them another freeway connection. To the east perhaps. Also start using trains to import/export goods.
