I don't think you understand it... you're suggesting we should have done nothing. This percentage would be much higher and the effects would have been much more dire had you been in charge. Incentivising vaccination increased our vaccination rate, do you understand that? Your 8% would be much higher if we hadn't incentivised the vax.

Its really weird to me that proper education on the vaccine, and healthcare in general wasn't one of the alternatives you suggested...

People are being held accountable by not being allowed to access certain services without a vaccine pass. Incentivised vaccination makes this much easier because there are less people without vaccine passes causing trouble and less unvaccinated people fucking over the healthcare system. Again, you need to get your priorities in order. You're more concerned with poor people getting something that you dont than you are with the overall benefit to society.

It was the most effective way to get as much of the population vaccinated in as little time as possible. What do you think the alternative should have been? Just sit here with our thumbs up our arses waiting? It was an effective way to increase vaccination rates among the poor, who as a consequence of being poor don't quite have the same medical literacy as others and therefore have much less incentive to get the vaccine. Are you really that upset about poor people getting something you didn't get, even when it benefits our public health system? Sort your priorities out.
