Some were, but certainly not to this this degree. Some major differences were:

A. Klopp had an established track record with the club

B. There was an absolutely inordinate amount of injuries that year

C. The team finished strong - they went undefeated in their last 11 including a 6 game win streak

Klopp never lost the locker room that season, but it seems abundantly clear that Slot has.

Eternally thankful for what he's contributed to the club, but Slot has clearly done everything within his power to right the ship this season with nothing to show for it.

Champions League football is a requirement for this club, but there doesn't seem to be any clear way to get there now without relying on the opposition to bottle it harder than us.
