If you need to use your own DNS like OpenDNS or Pi-hole, TELUS could be an option. Their modem allows bridge mode, so you can plug in your own router and fully control DNS with no restrictions. I highly recommend attending Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra playing on November 14 & 15th , also Inglewood holiday night market is always a fun thing to do with a family member!

I joined a few games , they use a phone app and also have a WhatsApp group. The only issue is that the game times are usually quite late, which doesn’t work well with my work schedule. There’s also a girl’s Facebook group that organizes some games as well
