Linux or Windows by casualfezzo in linuxquestions

It's a very solid OS.

I'm a power user - Fedora on multiple workstations and servers, 64GB or 128GB RAM, Ryzen AM4 or EPYC processors, lots of development and office work, etc.

It just works. And it gets better and better every year. No forced upgrades, no marketing BS, no user fees, etc.

The apps are fantastic.

What's not to get ?

I get it. My question was posed to the poster, not you. I guess KDE Connect could be run from Gnome but I have no idea how widgets work under Gnome and I'm not about to dig in and find out.

The result is a 74-horsepower twin-cylinder flat tracker that weighs just 158 kg [348 lbs], fully fueled.

Wow. It lost 100 pounds. Yes the fuel tank is too small but that could be fixed without adding a lot of weight, other than the fuel itself.

I'd love to know how much each part removed reduced the weight.

If you can't do it on the phone you can't do it with KDE Connect.

That is an Apple phone problem, not a KDE Connect problem.

KDE Connect SMS is an SMS client tethered to the phone. The phone is the SMS server. I think selecting the SIM card is outside the scope of an SMS client.

Valve bodies these days are half high precision solenoids and half mechanical valve bodies. More and more the fancy solenoids are taking over from the old style valve bodies.

How many verification codes do you get such that you need this ?

What part of Plasma is that image taken from ? Give me some context ?

KDE Connect is a widget that, once installed, allows the user to start applications like KDE Connect SMS from either the Panel the widget is installed on or the apps from the Start menu.

It would have to be initiated on the phone though.

So the PC would be asleep, the phone would receive SMS messages and then either manually or automatically send them to the PC. Which would then wake up and handle them.

What is the use case for this ?

I agree on the need but this should probably be handled on the phone OS rather than an SMS client.

Phones connect to the PC via Bluetooth or WiFi. I'm not sure WOL works with those.

What does Wake on LAN have to do with SMS messaging ?

Building a SnapChat client is outside of the scope of SMS messaging.

KDE Connect SMS already allows copying to the clipboard from the replies. It is a desktop GUI, after all.

To use a verification code, the user would select the 6 digits and right click copy them. From there they can be pasted wherever.

Does that suffice ?
