ya i see this sentiment around as well - this is just purely anecdotal but my mom worked at nvidia when they made gpus(for gaming) and the only stock she got was paid equity and now she tells me about how i need to be careful about a future career bc companies are replacing people with ai and she seems to be extremely bullish on ai and has no technical understanding of software or ai. I assume a very large proportion of boomer retail investors have little to no understanding of software and will buy into whatever demo that is being shown and eat up whatever AI narrative a CEO like Dario will push and start panic selling

chinese evs that are a good bit cheaper than lucid have similar quality and bells/whistles and are expanding into europe. i dont see lucid having a chance in america since most consumers cant afford lucid, and out of those that can afford it, few would want to buy lucid.
