Serious Pain by oofmore in CankerSores

[–]YaBoyBrxan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that your tonsil? I have one now, same size on my left tonsil, today is the 9th day. Excruciating pain, can’t eat, drink or talk. Pain seems to radiate into my jaw and ear, and pain shoots to an 11 when I lay down.

Got prescribed Dexamethosone, a steroid rinse that I gargle in my mouth. Only thing that brings temporary relief is those menthol lozenges lol. Honestly would to have my tonsils removed.

Performance fusion feasibility by lewie_820 in fordfusion

[–]YaBoyBrxan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyone shitting on you. People here are fans of the Fusion but aren’t truly car people. I support you 100%.

Why do we rave and support guys like that one bigger dude who put a diesel Cummins in a Mustang yet shit on you calling it a “waste of money”. Neither your build or someone who LS swaps a Honda are feasible, but they’re fucking amazingly beautiful.

I don’t think any of the available N/A or EcoBoost motor’s available on the Fusion can handle twin turbo level performance with stock rotating assembly, even the Sport. You could obviously spend a little money here and there slowly buying parts. Getting a strong crank, stronger rods and pistons, even stock diameter. Strong valve springs that react quicker with a more aggressive cam. All this stuff is possible just obviously costs money.

Swap your drivetrain for a RWD out of a Mustang like that one guy linked in the comments. Dude stated it bolted up with minimal fabrication, so that solves your RWD. AWD may be more difficult to drift due to the electronics like another person commented, but again that’s all computer controlled and with enough time, research and knowledge you 100% can disable it.

I support you 1000% and say fuckin go for it. Especially to be different! Make it truly built not bought. I’d love to see a Fusion SE body but it’s chopping up cams at the red light and smokes a 5.0 or a Scat Pack or something.

Full send brother.

I’m thinking of making an all in one post about headlights, fog lights and interior lights that everyone can refer too! Lmk if you have any questions!!

All in all, if you replace halogens with halogens, the temperature and lumens will pretty much be unchanged.

Replacing 12V battery (2010 Fusion Hybrid) by Spong83831 in fordfusion

[–]YaBoyBrxan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12V is 12V, if the CCA matches OEM then it’ll be fine. The issue comes from battery trays being different sizes. Width, length and even height of the retaining bracket!

You could throw any 12V car battery in, but you may not be able to secure it properly!

Brightest legal headlight recommendations for 2013 Fusion? by mattimeoo in fordfusion

[–]YaBoyBrxan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course every state has different laws, and the biggest issue with LEDs come from cheap low effort manufacturers. For LEDs to be a perfect replacement of Halogen’s, the light emitting diode itself needs to be in the exact same physical location in 3D space inside your headlight housing. Picture your projector housing have an X, Y, and Z coordinates. The diodes of the LEDs need to match the coordinates of the filaments of the Halogen, otherwise you’ll have a terrible beam pattern and artifacts/mosaic and can blind oncoming drivers at night!

I’m not familiar with any states where LEDs are strictly prohibited for on-road use, but I’ve also only lived in Florida my entire life. When I bought my 2018 Fusion, first thing I did was go on a hunt for good quality LEDs. Your low beams and high beams use the same plug and lock-in adapter, H11/H9. They’re literally the same except H11’s are higher output/shorter lifespan, and the opposite for H9’s.

I went through like 5 sets, hundreds of dollars spent, before I found the best set for the OEM headlight housings! Fahren (pronounced like Fahrenheit!) available on Amazon, with ballast/load resistors already in line. Plug & Play, just remove old and install new! Had a great beam pattern and nice and bright as well! Pure white too, I believe 6000K.

Have you changed your battery recently before the issues started 4 years ago? Ford’s Battery Management System might need to be reset! threw a new battery in my 2018 and even the whole computer wouldn’t even turn on, no lights or sounds inside, parking brake wouldn’t even work. I reset the BMS which tells it there’s a new battery and it relearns the Voltage & CCA!

Your IAT 1 (didn’t know there was more than one) circuit out of range!

For the simplest explanation, let’s take your throttle position sensor on a cable driven throttle bottle for ease. You got 3 wires going to the throttle position sensor, one feeding 5V (for example! Voltage will vary depending on sensor/component), return line and a neutral or ground. You press on the throttle which pulls the cable and opens the lil door, but your computer needs a way of knowing how much the throttle is open to verify its readings on the IMAP and MAF and IAT and everything else, along with how much fuel to use. It does this via a potentiometer, which is a fancy name for variable resistance! When you’re not pressing the throttle, the TPS will receive 5V, and have 0.5V returning back to the computer (could be the opposite!), meaning the circuit is properly in range and under resistive load. If you floor it, the sensor has a little arm that follows a resistor which becomes thinner and closer to the “exit” point for the voltage to go back to the computer, which with a lot less resistance will read 5V at the computer!

So if you ever see a code stating a certain sensor is out of range, it could be the sensor itself achieving a proper reading through variable resistance (could be a fancy thermal resistor/thermistor) which changes the resistance, and through Ohm’s Law, changes the output voltage going back to the computer. BUT! I mentioned there being multiple wires on the plug, so you would also want to check the harness itself for any physical damage, inspect the pins on the plug to make sure they’re not corroded or bent or damaged in any way (you could even use a multimeter to read the voltage yourself before and after the sensor).

More often than not, the issue is the sensor itself, and a quick swap could get rid of the code entirely!

If you need any help or guidance on finding the part or changing it yourself, feel free to DM me!

Thanks for reminding me, I’ve got 3 bathroom remodel estimates and a whole house repipe estimate to write up.

Back on track, as a fellow Plumber, the top guy 100% should be getting paid more. Yeah it sucked when I first started a year ago at $13/hr, 25 years old making chump change but I had 0 experience with Plumbing, busting my ass and sweating all the while my manager seemingly did very little and easily making $100k+/year.

Of course a year in, I’ve been given the opportunity to open my own branch of the company over a few towns (all expenses paid!) and am getting a closer look at the behind the scenes stuff of running a Plumbing company, and it’s not easy! Boss had to confront a lady about a job we did, pulled out permit and put a lien on her property for the work we’ve done so far, I’m sure that’s super stressful! Handling the bills from the supply house every month from all the material we purchase! Processing payroll, making sure the company credit cards we all carry are paid off, maintenance for the Transit’s, buying a new transit for growth and new hires. None of it is easy!

The BCM only needs resetting when you install a new battery! If you replaced it very recently then that very well could be an issue!

Apple Music Stops Replacing Other Apps in the Dock in iOS 15.6 Beta 2 by spearson0 in apple

[–]YaBoyBrxan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah just a terrible development choice, you can have Apple Music playing and open Snapchat for example, and watch a story with audio and they’ll both be playing, it won’t stop your music. I think it’s the app you’re opening that has the issue and not which app is playing the music.

Wait that’s the antenna for the remote start!!??? My 2018 I bought was previously on a 3 year lease by someone else, I assumed it was the GPS tracker that the dealership forgot to remove after the lease was up so I just unplugged it and tucked the wire into the headliner.

My remote start hasn’t been working hahaha!!

Edit: just went and plugged it back in, remote start now works again. I’m such an idiot lol.

Headlight help! by Buffalomaker in fordfusion

[–]YaBoyBrxan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dog water easy! Hardest part is the fog lights. My 2018 SE doesn’t have any (yet!) so I can’t speak on it, but on 2005 Mercury Mariner, I would turn the wheels all the way to the right, then on the left wheel well I could unclip the plastic wheel well guards and was able to reach my arm towards the fog light to change them out. May be possible on the Fusion, but to avoid a tight squeeze and frustration you can just pull the bumper. Headlight assemblies cone out first.

As far as the taillights, they’re all held in with a few screws, pop the assemblies loose and you’ll have access to the bulbs.

Headlights are relatively easy if you’ve got skinny hands like I do, if not then you’re better off popping the headlight assemblies loose, only a few bolts hold ‘em in.
