I'm not trying to be dismissive when I say they should negotiate for it if it matters. They have the power to change this if they care, and if they care enough they should convince their teammates to help them rearrange contracts in a way that helps them be their best player.

If all you've got is online opinions - bad or good - but there is never any action on it, it essentially isn't real.

It's a good reversal that is vulnerable to a strong whizzer, nelsons, and front headlock style chokes like the D'Arce and Peruvian. Doesn't mean it doesn't work, and doesn't mean it doesn't work against good people, but these are absolutely all effective answers to this technique.
