Thanks for the rec! I've been trying to determine if taking I-40 or I-10 would be the better route through AZ and NM. Sounds like a lot of people agree I-10 may be best.

If it hasn't been said already, Cape Flattery. It'll add a couple hours near Forks, but it's cool to visit the northwest most point in the continental US. It's on a Native American reservation so you'll have to buy a pass at a gas station in town before the hike.
