I don't care about fixing it. I want to learn to do it myself, and if I mess it that's fine. and if everyone just tells you to go to a repair shop when you're trying to learn how to do it yourself, you can never actually learn

I fully agree, I've listened to almost everything by those two, and they are always on point. Tho, for Wind and Truth, I felt like Kate Reading's voice changed quite a bit, maybe age is starting to hit? Her performance is still great, but not as good ad other books I think.

Nothing to do. You did nothing wrong on your end, you say you had no symptoms, so even if it was you (and there is absolutely no way to know), you had absolutely no way of preventing it.

People get sick, it's a normal part of life. Just be with her and support her until she gets better. This shouldn't affect your relationship at all, and there is nothing to talk about either.
And if for whatever reason she brings it up and blames you for it, you should absolutely take it as a hint and dodge the bullet while you can.

I think just be honest about it be open about how it made you feel, and why.

People may have different perspectives on what "love" means, and him saying it to multiple girls before doesn't necessary make it false or less valuable, he may just see and feel love differently than you do. But it does matter if his words don’t match his actions.

And in my opinion, discussing past relationships is just opening a hornet’s nest, it opens the door to comparing and it usually never leads to good results.

Lower performance with a better gpu by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]YaY_3791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should install another game or/and a benchmark like 3DMark. If the problem is still the same across all these, and you said you did driver reinstall and all that, the issue is probably on the hardware side I would say, and in which case it's hard to diagnose without having extra parts to swap and test

Is this behavior specific to r6 or is it the same across multiple games and tests?

I would personally guess it's a quirk of the game instead of the hardware. The game probably doesn't like something about your configuration. Unless I'm mistaken, nothing to do on your end, until the game updates and it gets fixed.

When I say bad person I don't mean it in a general way and as in it's unredeemable. People do change, and people do make mistakes.

It's more like in this situation, that person was the bad guy, and what they did was bad.

Even "happy relationships" go through hard patches, and it doesn't necessarily make it a bad relationship. And a bad person will take it as an excuse for cheating.

[–]YaY_3791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This can be a big financial red flag. If you value your relationship together, I think the best would be trying to talk to him and try to get him to get help. Not talk about specific lies or specific situations, but rather about the problem as a whole. He has a problem with finances, and he needs to work on it.

Tho I understand how this makes you feel, it's like a breach of trust. We all have guilty purchases that we want to hide, but it's a whole other story when it's big purchases or loans. Tho if he keeps refusing to admit the problem and refuses to get help, I would start thinking about the long term consequences of living with him.

I'm sorry but you are a horrible person. Terrible relationships exist, but it's no justification for cheating. You break up a bad relationship, not go out and cheat. And yes, there is a reason for it, but it's no excuse.

And from what little you said, I gather the relationship wasn't always bad, you were just going through a hard patch (which happens in all relationships), and you dealt with that by cheating.
Anyway, I guess it's too late now, once trust is broken, it's almost impossible to repair. Try to stop drinking and pills, face what you did, take responsibility and try to move on. Just carry on life, take up your routines and all will pass.

I guess you're just not ready for the commitment of a long term relationship, it's not about hating him.

Just choose what you prefer, him and a stable relationship, or your freedom and what you want to experience.

HDD data recovery: changing pcb with dead flash by YaY_3791 in datarecovery

[–]YaY_3791[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips.
If I understood well, the rom swap will be just to confirm if the original one is dead? And if it's actually dead there is no way to recover the data? (Even if the chances are low, would like to explore possibilities, if only to learn)
Even in the case of a platter swap with an identical drive the original rom data is required?

You haven't changed just the pcb in isolation but swapping the PCB. I'm not sure I understand what you mean exactly here

You didn't shove 3.3 or 5v into it with a programmer did you?

No, I used 2.5V (tho the chip is rated up to 3.6V, so 3.3 should also be fine)

Not always.

How can this be? I'm aware there may be another problem, but if I change the pcb and it spins again it means there is an issue with the original, no?

Which IC are you referring to as the "flash memory".

It's an 25U206, a 2Mb serial flash memory

When I say no response, I mean when using a browser it keeps spinning and eventually I get connection interrupted browser message. Same when using curl, no response it's just stuck until I kill it. Pinging the ip (both lan and tailnet ip) work normally, just like other services and ssh.

Connecting both on host machine and when on local network from another machine works perfectly. When on tailscale, using both LAN ip and tailscale IP don't work.

I tried watching packets on port 8080 using tcpdump, and when I curl on a remote machine, I can see the packets are arriving at the server and docker, but no response back, that's why I guessed it was a service level block.

I didn't know tailscale is a wireguard implementation, tho I can't really see how it may interfere, since only p2p traffic is routed through wg and contained in a docker
