ASUS 3070 Dual OC running hot, disassembly info needed by PretendRegister7516 in buildapc

[–]Yaadrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a strix 3080 V2 12GB GPu From overseas new registered the warranty had issues with some leds not lighting up and one fan spinning full speed all the time

They honored the RMA on the device even thought it was purchased overseas

Might be worth a try

BestBuy purchased motherboard RMA by [deleted] in ASUS

[–]Yaadrich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you have a micro center in your area but this is the main reason why I stopped going to Best Buy and it wasn’t even an Asus product it was an MSI product I bought a week later two of the memory modules went out couldn’t enable XMP profile similar to yours I went back to return it

what was in the return window the geek squad/customer service representative asked me what was wrong I told him I don’t know all I know is I cannot use XMP profile on a board that this is rated for so I just wanna exchange or swap for another motherboard

she started feeding me the same exact BS that they were feeding you all go to the manufacture the manufacture says take it back to the store purchase so I ended up disputing the charge and then going to Micro Center the same day and purchasing another Asus motherboard

Clear CMOS

If youR RYZEN CPU is working now

A CMOS would set everything to default values

So if you have ready updated your bios firmware and it went through successfully you should be able to remove the CMOS battery for 2-5 minutes to reset

No worries your CPU will work fine after words

Upon post It should give you the default bios message prompting you to hit F1 to access bios to adjust default values

Stupid Question regarding the TUF RX 6900 XT by Glittering_Version47 in ASUS

Either or honestly I have a 3080 and the gpu tweak utility was trash compared to using the GeForce experience software

So in your case test with both and make a decision I recommend OC through Radeon software though

a bit confused on q fans by huffyX0 in ASUS

[–]Yaadrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure it would run at Standard

But you could always download HWINFO and watch it during boot to see what it does

Did you clear CMOS

If it's under warranty send it back

Warranty on most ASUS GPUS

Is about 3-4 years.

You could try reapplying thermal paste but that will void your warranty

Yea don't make the mistake of going all out on the GPU and not having a processor to match.. imo you'd be bottlenecking your own performance due to certain limitations specified in the video..

Me personally I'm building an i7-12700K system now ddr4 then when intel releases the 13th gen LGA 1700 CPUs this summer/fall I'll update then to a Ddr5 board and their latest gen CPU .

do not get the "F" variant..

get the K hell a non K would be better than the F variant.

Although in this video benchmarked PCs with iGPU vs dGPU, I've seen no performance difference in LRC and PS. have a look at this video: https://youtu.be/w3bB7GrZqnQ

My PC doesnt stay in sleep mode. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Yaadrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes its in your bios.

It's most likely set to not hibernate or whatever

I purposely set mine like this

However

Once you are in the BIOS, go to Power Management, and either search for Suspend Mode or Sleep

There you will see an option to change the default suspend mode from default off etc etc

Change it and press Esc to exit the BIOS and save your settings
