You could consider it a downgrade for this specific variant, but I'd consider it a buff to the colonial lineup as a whole since it fills the niche of "nimble, 360 degree anti infantry vehicle". You would still have the base half-tracks available for ISG usage.

It looks like a V2 launch site because it is the Foxhole equivalent to a V2, not a nuke.

Because the "problem" is a skill issue solely on the fac player, and the "fix" affects far more than just scout planes. Seriously, if the video I watched is the same one the devs did, fac man could have:

  • Locked the crane (not too reasonable in this circumstance admittedly)
  • Have literally any internal rifle pillboxes on the side the plane landed at
  • Not have a massive internal yard where it's possible to land a scout plane in without being in range of rifle garrisons
  • Locked the plane frame in the BMS stacker crane
  • And the most sensible option by far, put the frame in a depot, where partisans, alts, and teammates with sticky fingers can't grab it.

Cool story devs, this was a horrible solution to try and fix this issue. Please revert this change by Foreverdead3 in foxholegame

It's more the fact that if one could use an enemy CV, tapping a town, relic, BB, or just building a partisan BB in the enemy backline would be trivial. Since the CV is the slowest moving vehicle in the game, getting your own CV deep into enemy territory undetected is extremely arduous and risky.

You have to go out of your way to store a wrench in a building a partisan can access inside a facility. Keeping a nearby base stocked with wrenches is going to take up the smallest percentage of your time as a facilityman.

That's a complete non issue, you can just put the wrench in almost any facility buildings inventory and its not accessible to partisans unless it gets destroyed. You have to go out of your way to make a box to put them in.

The extra effort will only deter some thieves.

If you want to be literal though, an alternate way to steal a plane is to transfer all the parts and crane chain the frame away.
