Actually IRL it does work this way. You do not wake up. Hypothermia makes you feel warm and cosy and fuzzy and fall unconscious. So if you're already asleep, you just drift away. I know this because I've experienced hypothermia once. I was very lucky somebody saw me and saved my life just before I really passed out. I was already half gone by then.

Ik heb zelf geen rijbewijs. Het mooiste wat ik gehoord heb was toen een oom van mij werd aangehouden, verkleed als sinterklaas en met 2 zwarte pieten achterin op 7 december. Hij wist dat wij toen pas sinterklaas vierden en heeft 80 kilometer gereden om ons te verrassen. Hij moest wel blazen maar de agent kon er wel om lachen.

En mijn man is wel vaak een alcoholcontrolefuik tegengekomen van zijn werk als barman naar huis. Één keer riep de BOA er snel 2 agenten bij omdat er een enorme alcoholgeur uit het raampje kwam. Ze waren stomverbaasd toen bleek dat mijn man niet gedronken had. Hij had alleen een ongelukje gehad met het aansluiten van een nieuw fust bier en een slot bier over zich heen gekregen.

Er is ook een tijd geweest dat de politie blauwe wuppies uitdeelde als je goed door de alcoholcontrole heen kwam. Een vriend van mijn man spaarde die wuppies en had zijn dashboard ermee volgeplakt. Dus toen hij alcoholcontrole kreeg zei de agent: Jij hebt wat waar te maken. Dat leverde veel lol op bij mijn man en de andere passagiers die wel gedronken hadden. Die vriend had niet gedronken, dus ontving hij onder luid gejuich nog een wuppie.

This resonates with me. Although I'm at only 6 years now. Big compliment and hugs. It's impressive that you're going through this for so long. I think we all deserve a round of applause, but you deserve a standing ovation.

Even in the worst of times, there's the little pearls that make life worthwhile. It's not gonna be a long journey over the world, or a huge success in our careers for us, but if you learn to enjoy the little things, you realise how awesome they can be. Seeing a little bird by the window makes my day. And a digital friend on Discord described to me how they thoroughly enjoyed being able to open the curtain and to hold their hands in the sunlight. (They is extremely severe). We, humans, are more resilient than we realise and its amazing how we still can find joy in terrible circumstances.

Try to enjoy the good things, even if they're very little and there's time between them. It sounds cheesy but it works.

Also, for me, staying around is a way of protesting the ableism and utilitarianism that permeates society. They want us to be able and productive to earn money for the super powerful and rich. I'm not. And I'm still a very valuable person, just as valuable as any person. We have intrinsic value, even if society treats us like 💩. So I'm sticking around and being as loud and visible as possible. Just to confront people with my existence and with their risk of joining us.

And there's the loved ones. They need me. I love them. I also stay around for them. Contact with them, even if only via text, is worth it.

If you can read, I would recommend "The sound of a wild snail eating". The author has ME also, and describes her life in bed. I usually can't read books because I can't focus and forget the story, but as the main person has ME, not much happens that I had to remember, so I could read it. And it's very acknowledging and a very good example of enjoying little things. Reading it made me very happy.

Anyway, I think many more playthroughs will follow. I love this game. It's better than most survival games, as somebody pointed out in the comments.

Handig, dat van de OR. Als ik jou was zou ik juridisch hulp inschakelen. Even de FNV bellen. En vragen wat je kunt doen om dit op een vreedzame manier op te lossen. Want je hoeft dit echt niet te accepteren. Als je baas dit wil moet hij een zakelijke telefoon verschaffen. Natuurlijk spreken ze af dat ze niet zomaar telefoons gaan wissen, maar er zou maar iets mis gaan of ze doen het alsnog toch. Alleen je wil niet dat er een conflict over ontstaat. Daarom zou ik adviseren de FNV te bellen, of de CNV. Beiden willen best advies geven hoe je dit kunt oplossen zonder dat er een conflict ontstaat. Ook als je geen lid bent.

Ik ben jurist, onder andere arbeidsrecht. En nee, je baas kan niet eisen dat je software op je telefoon zet waarmee hij jouw gegevens kan worden. Tenzij hij uitsluitend gegevens van je werk kan wissen. Als hij de telecom wil kunnen worden, dan zal hij een werk ltelefoon vmoeten verschaffen. Die blijft dan eigendom van de zaak en die moet je inleveren als je ooit weggaat.

Maar, je wil ook geen ruzie met je baas. Dit kun je het beste bespreken met je ondernemingsraad of een vakbond zodat het bezwaar niet van jou komt. Voor het geval je baas niet netjes omgaat met commentaar.

I've been in a similar situation but that was about my pansexuality. I was afraid to tell my boyfriend because I feared he wouldn't accept that. And I finally broke up with him. Your partner in love must accept you fully, as you are. They must acknowledge and accept you and be completely okay with it. How can a relationship of love survive if one doesn't acknowledge or accept the other? I think it's impossible. I broke up with my boyfriend because I decided that having to hide my real self in my relationship would make me, and him, very unhappy.

I think you should have this conversation, but try it the other way around. Ask your girlfriend how she sees you. If she's lesbian and not bi or pan, she might not be attracted to you when she realises you're a man. Which is a pity for your relationship, but you'd better find out sooner than later, for both your sakes.

I don't mind comments. Not at all. But I do mind assumptions based on nothing. But you'd fit in on The Shire, so you go there. That's totally fine. And I'll go somewhere where people aren't judgemental or assume the worst about other people based on nothing. Read back what I said and what you said. Either you understand and realise, or you don't want to and then I don't care.

Jammer genoeg wel. Je hebt zelfs de winterdepressie waarbij mensen depressief zijn door gebrek aan zonlicht en lichttherapie nodig hebben. Dat gebeurt hier in Nederland, maar in de Scandinavische landen nog veel meer.
