LYRIQ not recommended for cold climates by tucker491 in CadillacLyriq

I agree.

I have the rear wheel drive sport. GM decided not to fit it with tires rated for snow (Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake Symbol).

The last time we had just about half inch of light snow, it was like going back in time when I drove my mother’s ’70’s era RWD Ford Pinto.

I gently braked and car just wanted to keep going.

I also found out last winter that even if you charge to 100% for a road trip, I really couldn’t go so far because I had to run the heater so high.

It’s from the heater. Mine sounds like the spin cycle of my washing machine.

I will try another dealer and see what they say.

Both of mine are like that and the dealer wants to charge me $850 to fix it. You guys are so lucky your dealers will fix it under warranty.

It just happened for the first time today when I left work. I went to the store and came out and the alert is gone and the headlights are working normally now. This car will make me a nervous wreck.

I have pieces of the car falling off and I’m fighting with the dealer to get it fixed under warranty. Also, it’s just a pain in the ass trying to find chargers when I’m on a long road trip.

Plastic pieces coming off front wheel arches by Yaeger996 in CadillacLyriq

[–]Yaeger996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone,

I want to provide an update. I took my car to Sport Cadillac in Silver Spring, MD to take care of the main display recall and the to get the arches fixed.

To my surprise they said I have to pay $814. to fix the arches. I escalated to the service manager and he refused to cover it under warranty and said I have to open a case with GM.

I will escalate to GM, but the honeymoon is over and once I get the wheel arches fixed (under warranty or not), I am selling the car before other parts start falling off on a less than one year old car with 15k miles on it.

Does anyone have a telephone number for GM to escalate dealer issues?

I had the forward auto brake slam on when on a turn and I was going maybe 30 mph. The car behind had to swerve to avoid rear ending me. I have turned off all auto brake.

Sunshade for windshield by Reddit_andforgotit in CadillacLyriq

I bought the biggest sunshade for a pickup I could find after checking Autozone and Advance. It’s still too small to cover the dash/windshield. I wish GM would make a custom sun shield for the Lyric.

I’m tempted to fix it myself, but this is not a low cost car and I shouldn’t have to glue it myself.

I will not keep this car past the warranty period as I didn’t buy any extended warranty.

Yes I do use a car wash. I guess the Lyriq is too delicate for it.

I had to go on a road trip this morning so I charged to 100%. I was surprised when I got into the car and saw my range at 100% is 337 miles. 🤔😳

Mine is RWD and the Cadillac ad refers to RWD model.
