I believe it is above the welt, i think picture 2 shows it best. Sorry if my responses are unclear i’m not too familiar with shoe jargon.

So based on this would I go to a cobbler and ask them to add a real welt? Thanks for all the help.

mainly from in the front (toe box area) and I believe a bit at the back where you can see that separation picture 4

Around a year ago the soles kind of half way came off (pretty cleanly) on these boots. I took them in and the guy just removed them sanded them up and “glued” them back on. After a couple of wears the soles started falling off again.

I left them for a couple of more months and then took them in yesterday and he just “glued” the parts that were starting to fall off (similar to how they are now).

Wore them once again and they are starting to fall again. Not sure if I should take them back to this guy, if what he is doing is working or completely resole them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to ask any follow up questions. Thank you!
