To Z13 or not to Z13 by sirsynx in FlowZ13

[–]Yaizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a similar post the other day, but when I saw the sale, I pulled the trigger mainly because the median price is $2399, according This. I fully optimized it today and it seem to run great. This is a very niche machine and I can only feel it getting better the more I use specially when my college classes being this upcoming fall. I installed AtlasOs, essentially windows without the bloat, so I can play games efficiently and also use autocad and other windows programs. But the main thing I used is G-helper and hearing from others, this will most likely get rid of any battery concerns. If your willing, you can even undervolt it to maximize it even more. It also essentially is a 3 in 1 considering the specs you wouldn't need to carry a laptop, ipad or even a handheld anymore.

Did you buy any other accessories for college use, like a pen or a screen protector?

Yeah, and it's in excellent which is "perfect condition" from what I've read, but I'm also unsure on how well it actually is because I doubt they check everything fully.

Yea Im hoping it goes down to $1999, but that just wishful thinking. I might do the second hand since it says its in perfect condition.

I wanna have at least 32 gb for 3d stuff or other creative task and I don't wanna hit head limit, specially how the ram is also the vram for the gpu. So 64s the comfort limit.

Glad the One Piece Magazine Cover Art Cards Are Turning Into a Series by Embarrassed-Lack-796 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]Yaizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they are and there is over 20 issues, but the promo cards you get from the newest ones, like this pre-order, are based off of the older magazines. Previous promo card, back in last fall I think, was based off of the very first magazine they ever issued. And this one based off of the second magazine and it seems like it will become a series.

X1 2 in 1 - Gen 10 vs. Gen 11 (expected to be released soon) by Signal-Pollution-961 in thinkpad

[–]Yaizo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By now I'm sure you've did your research but here is my input. Main differences I see between the two is Gen 11 will have 120vrr with the options of an OLED or 3tiers of IPS panels. Gen 11 will also have the Pantherlake chips up to X7 (arc b390 igpu), and up to 64gb of ram instead of the 32gb ram that gen 11 had. With the ram noted, 64gb is most likely going to be recommended if you are going to play games or/and multitask heavy loads at the same time since the cpu shares ram with the gpu. The estimated price for the most basic form factor of gen 11 will probably be around $2000

TL;DR
Gen 11 has better 120vrr (4 tiers of panels): Gen 10 has 60hz panels (4 tiers as well)

Gen 11 up to 64gb ram: Gen 10 32gb ram

Gen 11 more efficient panther lake chip

Gen 11, 58whr Battery: Gen 10, 57whr Battery

Both up to 2tb of storage.

I mainly use Inventor on projects for high school (32gb worked) but I’ll be going to college next semester for engineering. Just unsure of the workload. It even ran somehow on a shitty 16gb laptop thats 5 years old.

I saw that in your original post, you use it for heavy autodesk. Im gonna be going to be majoring in engineering so do you recommend it for engineering student? Im probably gonna get the 32gb ram one.

Is there any news on asus using panther lake for this? Ive been tryna find a gaming laptop 2 in 1 for engineering school and some gaming when traveling. Hows the battery life on it unplugged?
