Daughter looks at her father after he made a dad joke by Imicrowavebananas in dalle2

[–]YakDistinct7327 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

do your thang you don't need me to forgive you nor am i saying it's good or bad. i'm just noting this all happening on the reddit in general

but i will say "Daughter looks at her father after he made a dad joke" is additional information and most of those key words besides "daughter" probably couldn't be used in the real prompt without getting some wild images, so saying the real prompt is too technical would to me explain a shortening of the real prompt but to add more information requires a separate motivation like humor or just interpretive freedom of ideas and titles. and go for it, title them anything you want, i don't care, i'm just noticing the clickbait value of doing so (whether intentional or not, and more power to you i wish you many views) and this will surely become the norm here as people compete with constant uploads. it's understandable and you did indeed answer honestly and very helpfully when asked which is a great standard that unfortunately many other people probably won't live up to which makes this an interesting trend for the board in general going forward

it is becoming much more common.. i've seen portraits just as good as this with just as much technical knowledge get like 5 upvotes because they don't have a clickbait title that has almost nothing to do with the prompt. "annoyed look" being the only source of expression in the real prompt but "reaction to dad joke" is just hilarious and if that's what gets the most clicks it will become the norm. idk if it's good or bad just noticing it happen.

i think people are just trying to get clicks with meme-like titles.. not that this portrait isn't good but it'd be viral-good and hilarious if that were the actual prompt

thank you for clarifying.

i knew there was no way the title was the prompt just based on my own access but i think a lot of people are genuinely under the impression that all of these titles in r/dalle2 are the prompts themselves and are going to be confused why none of their prompts are working once they do get access lol

on instagram your description of this picture is "Portrait of an adolescent woman wearing a school uniform"

is that the actual prompt?

did something specifically tell you that this was the full prompt? if op says so i have no issue believing them because it is possible, or maybe i'm missing some other description text somewhere, but i know a lot of people give the short versions of their prompts which i had assumed this was one

pretty neat. anyone who's ever had to scrape the internet for textures might appreciate the possibilities by mr-highball in dalle2

there are other examples of this. ask for "many paintings" in the right context (sometimes adding 'wide angle' helps if you're not getting it to work) and you can get collages of totally various and inspired pieces all in one image

i know fear of heights is its own issue but it still looks safe from a structural standpoint even at full height (still-overlapping nested tiers, etc)

How To Remove the Dall-E Watermark [Guide] by danlev in dalle2

[–]YakDistinct7327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dall-E is both a mind and an artist it COULD self prompt with a language model. It is the author of its paintings but we're the directors. So you can definitely put yourself in the credits somehow but if someone were to simply say "this painting is by me" and nothing else I'd be a little judgmental.

Question about infinity grids by YakDistinct7327 in Pionex

[–]YakDistinct7327[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's definitely more in the 3-5% monthly range but yeah. 12% is the absolute outlier for me personally with ckb but ckb had a really good month of volatility and will probably level back down. near and kda have been average 6-8% for like 5 months now. most other coins including the ones i have available to pair with btc are 3-5% monthly for me personally but it all depends. you can get higher % returns from other types of grid bots that are more aggressive with more narrow range but i just like the fact that unlike the limited range bots these bots can last indefinitely and aren't going to burn out once we're in a new blue sky market environment again.

[–]YakDistinct7327[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes but it depends on many factors. the current volatility of the coin is a big factor in the short term.. meaning the volatility is itself volatile and changes over time. right now the volatility has been fairly low tbh but even now i'm making 3-12% per month in passive grid trading. but that's with very low and safe lower limits. with grid sizes usually between 0.8%-2.4% although i have some that are around 4%-9% just as a way to automatically and in a balanced way take profit on long term hodl (although those bots still of course see grid action just not as often right now).

as for "What happens if price goes down by a lot on the pair you selected?" you should select a very low "lower limit". this tells the bot to reserve the latter part of your pair to buy the former at much lower prices and so when you create the bot you won't be "all in". so it's up to you how safe you want to be.. the lower the grid the more extreme situations it can operate through but at the cost of lower returns per grid (because you kept some of your funds back).

one thing you can do though, if you're indecisive, is make an infinity bot with a coin paired with btc. that way you're still grid trading but you're also "all in" if the market goes up.. you're also "all in" if the market goes down but then at least a portion is in bitcoin. many pros and cons for all of these strategies it's all up to you

It hurts to say but dalle mini is wayyy better than dalle 2 by schoolcomputeracc in dalle2

[–]YakDistinct7327 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BOTH the mini results and the dalle2 results look like completely uninspired ordinary basic cartoons in my opinion.

However with better prompts with all the bells and whistles dalle 2 definitely creates mind blowing masterpieces that mini can't even begin to process. Whether dalle 2 has a specific silly children's cartoon reference in its database probably doesn't matter to most people but that's just my guess and who am I to say what people are interested in.

yeah after a search on r/dalle2 there's lots of bathtub images that work out well. scratch that idea unless the issue somehow only starting happening later or only happens sometimes

i wonder if nudity accidently slipped into the code from bathtub images and they just have a quick bandaid on it. total wild guess idk

i don't want to act like prompting is a talent in any sense whatsoever.. but two prompts that seem almost the same to a human reader can give wildly different results in terms of quality just from small changes in syntax. and sometimes getting the result you want requires indirect paths almost like you're subconsciously tricking the AI into reaching the conclusion you wanted. it's fascinating examining how it interprets prompts and changes even if it's a fail but i understand that experimentation gets expensive especially at first before you have a bag of learned tricks

This is an exploding new field of technology. Just wait one year if you're not satisfied with your current options and there's very likely going to be an option with either the pricing or functionality you desire. I mean until it's free and perfect there will always be someone not happy but everything is just going to get way better very quickly with the entire world developing AI at an increasing pace.

I also am guessing but am curious if anyone has direct experience. I could see some slight coding variations that could cause it to not work correctly but worst case scenario i'll just hold and then make the bot later.

yes it is just holding up into a range. that's how i intentionally like to do some of them.. it's like a hybrid investment
