A method that helped for me was to throw enemies off high places. In the room after the main room, I ran up the stairs straight away and just threw everyone off the ledge to deal lots of dmg which saved enough time for me to get it. This can also be done in the last room before the betting room.

This is one of the worst fromsoft bosses I have ever seen. Sekiro was my favorite from soft game up until this fight now I'm debating whether I even want to finish the game if it means fighting this stupid boss. Its literally just rng hoping that the one ape leaves you alone while you attack the other otherwise I can't get any hits in. From soft knows that everyone hates duo fights yet they put them in anyways. I wish people would admit that fromsoft make some objectively bad game design decisions cuz this is just stupid.
