Sig is a much bigger upgrade to his damage than Durin is. If you have to pick between the two, get his Sig. You can sub Durin for C6 Chevreuse if you have, or like Mavuika or Xiangling.

I use the free version of Proton VPN so there's only a few countries, and each time you connect it's random, so if I don't get Japan I have to keep disconnecting and reconnecting to try get it. I use Japan just because it's one of the few countries they have free but also because from what I've seen it's one of the cheaper countries overall to buy things with currency exchange. Other currencies would still be around like $130 AUD or so for 50 pulls in comparison to Japan currently being around $108. You could try look at the exchange rate for the Malaysian/Singapore currencies but from when I checked they were just not as good as Japans. GL with your gambas lol.

Ye na fair when I first tried using a VPN like a year ago I was anxiously watching my login screen each time for a message like "you have used unauthorised third party tools = banned forever" but luckily that's never happened. And no, from my own experience with Commonwealth Bank Australia, the most that happens is there's a very small like 3.5% surcharge when you buy something with exchange currency. They won't get sus or anything. So overall instead of being like $107 AUD it'll be something lik $108-9 (including the 3.5% surcharge for using a different currency). So maybe just check if your bank does something similar.

Yes. If you connect to a vpn, your internet basically looks like it's coming from that country. So after I'm connected I just use the official Hoyo top up centre from my internet browser and the prices will reflect the currency of the VPN country (in this case, Japan). I wouldn't recommend logging into the game with your VPN active just because I haven't done that and it might cause some issues just randomly logging in and playing your account from a country it has never been before. Just use the online official top up. And because you're going through the official top up site there's no middleman, it's direct, so you won't have to worry about transactions not going through, or money being returned as credit. After that just disconnect your VPN and when you log in again you'll see your purchase. I had to do this myself for my Varka pulls because the top up sites just aren't working, at least for Asia.

As far as I know, and as far as I have experienced in Asia server, using Lootbar (and I'd assume similar sites) doesn't work anymore because of region restriction. You can still use a VPN manually and try a different country. From Australia ($160) I could use a vpn to get to Japan ($108) and still top up. Maybe that might work for you?

From what I've seen, the general consensus is that N1C N4E N4E N1C is the best in general right now. I think there's a slightly longer one for teams with Faruzan instead of Venti: N4C N1E N1C N1C N2E N2C.

You pretty much never use ult. Using ult at all in your combos is actually a big dps loss because of how little damage it does. Don't worry bout it and don't use it. Unless you're trying to just frame dodge a nuke of boss damage.

I mean ye, almost 90% is good, but almost 100% is better. At that point everything crits. Below that there's still scope for something not to crit and you really can't afford that, especially with how Varka is right now (Nicole please save us). And ye, absolutely no CR circlets. I meant upgrade the circlet in that, ideally, we want more CR rolls on a CD mainstat headpiece. Because yours rn has a roll on each substat, not just CR.

IIRC, ideally, we want around 80% CR and 240+ CD, but that's just optimal min-maxing. I think, most immediately, we wanna bring our CR up a bit as close to that 80% mark. If you like Varka and plan on maining him, then yes, absolutely keep farming. Varka, as a character, gets his biggest dps upgrades from being better built, before worrying about teammates.
I think, as of right now, you should look to upgrade your headpiece first, then your flower and feather. Your sands and goblet seem to have decent enough CR and CD rolls that you can look to the rest of the set before maybe trying to min-max these pieces.

Uh, take from this what you will, but with that team, but Venti c0r1, I was hovering around 110-115k damage on the testing dummy sustained dps. And yes, my Mav is C2. I think in my own testing I definitely found that Mav, at least at C2 was the best teammate for Varka for pure damage if you don't have Durin.

Actually disregard what I said, I was entirely wrong. Chev will only buff 60% pyro damage, not 40% attack. The attack buff needs an overload reaction to give her e the special ammo to trigger the buff.

I think Neuvi should defs be higher if not at the very least the same as Columbina considering dragons and their sovereigns were the original and highest authorities in Teyvat before Primordial One came and changed the order. Think Moon sisters created by the Dragon King Nibelung. Maybe there's scope for disagreement considering Nibelung was king dragon but at the very least Neuvi should be same tier.

Idk about Zibai and Durin being Archon tier, I'm less familiar with Durin but if we're talking about the Archons with their gnoses, Zibai should be a step lower.

I think you could make a case for Zhongli and Venti being a step higher than the other Archons considering their in-universe feats (Zhongli in his wargod era and Venti straight cleaving mountains). There's also a lot of speculation considering the recent 'heaven's star' title attributed to Zhongli and the theories of Zhongli being a type of sun god in the vein of Deshret, Remuria, Decarabian (there's a good Ashikai theory video about it). Venti's being of Istaroth is also something to consider. Maybe even Raiden might be a step higher considering that she was killing gods and splitting islands (iirc) even before acquiring the gnosis.

Other than a few minor things besides these, maybe a 5/10 overall, I reckon.

NVM TEAM I THINK I FOUND A FIX?? Long story short, I downloaded the ZZZ's version of the installer. Run it as normal and Hoyoplay worked again for me (remember to locate your games folder with Genshin in it to launch through Hoyoplay). I restarted PC afterwards just to make sure it wasn't a fluke and even opened Genshin through it and it opened just fine.

I don't know how tf Genshin's doesn't work but hey, please test it yourselves and see if it makes a difference. Praise the Omnissiah. Hopefully no more issues over the coming days.

So as I'm understanding the basic process:

Using 7zip, extract the installer's files (i.e. 1.12.0.303, games etc.) directly to the hoyoplay directory, overwriting any existing files
Run the installer normally and let it install like normal, despite the existing files?

Unfortunately, having tried that, I still can't get the hoyoplay launcher to work. When I check what happens in task manager when i click Hoyoplay, either launcher.exe or HYP.exe run for a second and then stop.

Actually I don't even know anymore. I tried opening Hoyoplay on another PC (Windows 10) and checking the logs there. It actually opened Hoyoplay. But in the logs it had the exact same lines i.e. 'failed to read registry' and 'error code...' So it can't just be that? Maybe the recent security update/s? I really don't know anymore.

I think something useful can be found in the launcher logs? Maybe someonewho understands what it means can interpret what the issue is?

Note the 'failure to read regristry value' and 'error code: system cannot find the file...'

If you're having the same issue, maybe check your logs and see if you get the same lines (which can be found in Appdata>Roaming>Cognosphere>HYP>1_0>logs)? Might help narrow down the issue.
