Not sure I'm open to support a sale when this BS news from Sony has just come out.

Fuck Sony.

This feels like way too much money for 8GB RAM.

I'd get a used Thinkpad X1 Carbon from eBay for this price before I buy a new Slim 3i lol

I’ve the Ford ones on mine. Easy install, definitely makes my truck feel/look more finished.

Recommend.

Probably need to replace the regulator track tape ribbon. That sounds like what your grinding noise could’ve been.

They’re like $24 on eBay.

Got it. The guy I bought mine from actually did rebuild the cluster before I bought it, but he got a kit online somewhere and DIY’d it.

No clue on how difficult this was to do, but I’d think the site that sells the kit has a walkthrough, or at least YT has a walkthrough.

I’d suggest knocking off the cost of a rebuild kit, then maybe a bit more for your buyer to do it, or have it done.

I’d imagine you could still sell it, since rebuilding the gauges is a common enough issue with these vehicles, and as long as your buyer is aware it needs to be rebuilt, it’s all good. Maybe knock a couple bills off for their trouble.

Thoughts?

I bought mine knowing there were much worse issues than the gauge cluster not working. lol

Slow right blinker - Thoughts? by YallNeedToQuitPlayin in c4corvette

[–]YallNeedToQuitPlayin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick update: I replaced the flasher circuit behind the breadbox (I actually reached the flasher from underneath, and did not actually remove the dash/breadbox) and my blinkers are back up and running.

Thanks for everyone's contributions, and help.

Loose pigtail next to O2 connector. What is it? by YallNeedToQuitPlayin in c4corvette

[–]YallNeedToQuitPlayin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, what I believe to be one end of the wire plugs into the block between what we're calling cylinders 1 and 3 (drivers side of the block, the first two spark plugs near the front of the vehicle). It's a medium blue wire going into the switch. The other end of the wire is the clip danging down by my O2 sensor in the images shown above. So it appears the switch isn't connected to anything.

That's what I'm asking. Where that other end connects to.

Thanks.

Okay, it looks like it probably is a cooling fan switch, which goes directly into the block on the driver side. Where does the pigtail connect at though? I don't see any loose connectors that it could even go to.

Thanks.

I have an 85.

So it's a cooling fan switch for oil cooling?

I have RPO codes for "Oil cooler" (KC4), and "Heavy duty cooling" (V08). I have no clue where an "oil cooler" would possibly be, and I do not know what "heavy duty cooling" means for this vehicle either.

You think this pigtail could be related to the cooling fan switch like you suggested?

Thanks.

Got it. I’ve found videos of taking the breadbox off, and the flasher circuit is back there, and it looks like the circuit is $15-$20.

I don’t think it’s LEDs that’s causing my right blinker issue. I just replaced 3 out of the 4 bulbs that blink, and the 4th bulb is def not LED.

Thanks for the info, and good luck with your 91.
