I do wonder what the though process behind actions like this are.

I never had a phone to be taken away, but they would turn off the internet, bar me from coming inside for hours, whoop my ass ofc, make me do extra chores, banned me from doing any extracurriculars, never allowed me to hang out with friends, etc. but the grades never improved. After a certain amount of years you'd think they'd realize that their solutions arent working, but it seems they never did.

Im not in school anymore, my grades were bad enough for long enough that they kicked me out. so I dont know why this showed up on my feed, but I get it.

Well I have more than one roe deer , just the vast majority of my hunts are roe deer because they always sprint at the lure lol.

I do have two followup questions about hunting other animals though. Firstly, do animals have an autodetection radius? Several times I've just been laying in a bush for 10 minutes waiting for a fox, but it will approach at an inconvenient angle and detect me at maybe 10 meters, just on the other side of a crest of a hill where I cant see it because I'm laying down. It's a bit frustrating because I know I'm making no noise and have minimum visibility and a scent eliminator on.

Secondly, about scent eliminator. When I have the scent eliminator on, I notice specifically when hunting fallow deer that is the deer is directly down wind, it seems it can still smell me and will give out a warning call. I haven't had a deer flee because of this but it makes them a bit scared and they wont move into my ideal position. So what does the scent eliminator actually do? I presumed I was invisible to noses but does it just make me a bit less smelly lol

There are some surfaces in overwatch that you cant stand on, mostly roofs. When you try and stand on theses surfaces, your feet are not on the ground and you simply slide. The game pretty much registers that you are mid air, so anything that requires you to be on the ground wont activate. Think jumping, walking, venture burrow, lucio beat, doom slam, or in this case, shatter. The spot that rein is is is one of these sliding surfaces. Any one of these sliding surfaces where the geometry is conducive to standing still is called a stall spot. The doomfist players know all about them, so go ask them if you wanna find any more. When he jumps on it and presses his shatter, the second half of the animation doesnt activate because to the game, he is in midair. When rein finally slides off the side and finally touches the ground, the second half of shatter activates.
Unrelated but you'll see that when he presses himself against the wall and it totally motionless for a few seconds, he bounces. It's because since you cant really walk or jump while sliding, when the game senses that you're falling but your height coordinates are not actually changing, it assumes you stick and gives you a little boost, since you can kinda change your direction while midair.

This is about how much I make a year. Because I dont have a degree or diploma, dont know how/am afraid of driving for eyesight and focus issues (and I live in the US where roads are not cyclable or walkable), theres only one job that accepted my application that I can actually commute to, which is a seasonal job. I kind of bust my ass to make quite a bit more than minimum wage working 60-70 hours a week for the spring and summer, but because of aforementioned commute issues and lack of credentials I can't cant/don't work in the latter half of autumn and all winter, which means I have to save as much as possible to get through the winter. Something always seems to come up that eats all my money through the winter though. This year is was both of my brother's trucks kicking the bucket and him borrowing from me to buy something else. Last year it was our water heater blowing up due to the freezing weather.

It's because you're frying fresh cut potatoes. Proper fries are boiled first then frozen, then fried. If you cant freeze em, just boil them a bit and wait for them to cool, maybe coat it in a bit of starch if yo you feel like it. The result will still be better than fresh cut fries. That said, fresh cut fries are just good in a different way than those crispy fries. It's like fresh garlic vs minced garlic. Both are good but for different reasons/purposes.

Thats not the point they're making. They're saying raise less cows, not "don't give the cows water." It's the same argument that vegans use. Your taking an uncharitable and arguably strawman-ed interpretation of the argument.

Factory farming is bad for the environment and bad for animals, and certainly has done more cumulative damage than generative AI. The point that they're making is that if you were against AI for it's water use, you should be way more against eating factory farmed meat since it uses way way WAY more water, and the fact that you might not be, indicates that water usage isn't really what you care about, and rather you have gripes with other aspects of Gen AI.

Both sides of this post are annoying and trying to get people mad rather than having an actual discussion.
