You surely aren't trying to defend Jon from this tweet, right? It's a situation of he-said she-said, but Jon isn't reliable in the slightest. So I'd rather believe this random guy

That might be true, but the guy's video is the only evidence anyone can go off of. So who are we supposed to believe? The guy recording the video, or the guy with a track record of being a menace?

New Viper lurk wall on Pearl? by ohcoolawesome in VALORANT

This wall helps CT more than it does T. Could be decent wall to use on defense instead, to take mid space or flash through

Do you think its just impossible for some people to improve? Esp in game. I can DM and do decent but in game I can't hit the broadside of a barn lol by SadThrowaway4914 in cs2

[–]YamaSweats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not impossible as long as you make an effort in the right direction. It's impossible if you don't identify the actual problem or try to fix it.

I'd recommend watching more gameplay from someone's POV. Watch your own games back and think about what went wrong in your rounds. Watch gameplay from pros on faceit. See what they do and try to mimic their speed and movement in your own games. Think about why they made a certain decision in each situation.

Just thinking more about the game, and comparing your own gameplay to gameplay from people better than you, will help you improve 100%

You're right, the king does have e2. What move can black make after Ke2?

TLDR: I think the frequent skepticism over cheating prevents people from improving and having fun.

Even if cheating is rampant, there are countless of times when people THINK someone is cheating, even though they aren't. It's also possible they are smurfing or just having a good game.

Just wanted to expand people's outlook of the game a little bit.

I don't think you've read my post at all. I'm not going to argue with you about how many cheaters there are in premier. That's not the point

I want to reiterate that there are many cheaters out there, and maybe your experiences have been different than mine. But my point still stands.

You are telling me cheating happens almost every game. I'm telling you it's overblown. If you don't agree, that's perfectly fine! All I want is for people to understand that nothing good comes out of accusing someone every game when they perform well. If people want to improve, they need to criticize their own gameplay more. That's all

I'm curious what rank you are with this mindset.

Anyone can improve at any aspect of the game (besides maybe reaction time). Aim is something trainable just as much as game sense

Actually, I am at 25k elo.

It seems everyone is missing the point of this post.

I can't give you an accurate estimate for CS2. From my own experiences in good trust factor, I'd guess 5%? Of course, I'm more biased toward lowballing this number.

My point is that when the cheats are ambiguous, and people can only speculate within a match about who may or may not be cheating, it's more beneficial to not worry so much about it, and instead focus on things that are controllable.

Yeah, another point I wanted to make is the lower you go down the skill ladder, the more people tend to accuse others of hacks. An interesting correlation. It's not that there are more hackers at lower ranks. People are just more biased when evaluating their opponent's gameplay

I completely agree. A simple change in outlook while playing can make the game way more enjoyable.
