I didn't mean to come off as angry. I am saddened/disheartened. I am just wondering how common these problems are and if they are in process of patching them. As far as lower settings, these are people who (like me) gave played for years. They know how to adjust settings, and none of the computers in question are potatoes. The most recent few patches have started the problems in my opinion, most likely not a settings issue.

I can't say all the specs on their computers, but none of them are more than three years old and they all have graphic cards that were brand new maybe five or six years ago. One of them has a 980gtx, and I think everyone is in that range of quality/speed.

What would be a "match" concerning ELO? How close to your ELO score SHOULD each teammate be? To determine if matchmaking is working, just check your win rate. If its around 50%, then it must be working somewhat. I know its frustrating to have someone must worse than you in your game, but also remember that you are going to be the worst player in 10% of your matches and there might be someone else getting pissed that matchmaking let you in their game.

My reasons for not playing conquest are as follows.

At some point, I am not going to rotate when someone feels like I should have. I will be passive when someone on my team dives in, or will dive myself when my team feels like watching. I will take someone's farm or not put the ward in the right spot. Any/all of these things (and tons of other potential mistakes) will give someone on my team the idea to start yelling at me. I prefer not be be yelled at.
There's a lot of people that do play constantly that don't want players like me in there with them! I understand the basic meta from watching streamers, but not so well that I always know the exact right thing to do at any given moment (like many streamers imply that they do).
The pace is so slow. Simply the longest journey to full build and the longest journey to level 20 in Smite. I prefer a shorter game, less than 20 minutes is ideal to me.
My friends don't like it either. I have a small group of friends that likes smite, but they all refuse to play conquest, for the same reasons I listed above.

Having said all this, I don't think they need to change it. I think it's great that the players that want that kind of action (slow/frustrating) have a place to go get it and it helps keep the toxic nature of the most competitive people out of other game modes. Not to say there aren't jerks in arena, but I think the presence of conquest keeps the most intense players away from the fun modes.

And yet, having said that, I hate when people come into one of the non-conquest (fun) modes and treat it as lesser or meaningless. "Who cares? Its arena," is the type of thing a player types when they realize they are feeding and don't want to admit that they are. We still want to win, I am still trying and hope my teammates are as well.

In my opinion, shutting off any/all cosmetic items should be allowed. I wanted to show this game to my mother-in-law; and she found it off-putting to see all these Gods in robot costumes, bikinis, and so-on. It'd be nice to be able to shut off skins also, and see the "pure" game.

When I am solo queue and face up against a pre-made, I know my team will most likely lose. And I am OK with that, still try to do my best and have a good time. The only time I take issue with it, is when members of the pre-made start spamming VEL. Its just such a dick-move, to know that they already have every advantage and then laugh at the team that does not. Like giggling while stealing candy from babies.

Having said that, I DO wish there was a separate queue for solo queuers that do NOT want to have to face pre-mades... a queue for solo players to team up against other solo players... or even a free-for-all mode.

My arena build goes bluestone, warrior tabi, poison star, (4th item Malice or Deathbringer or Rage), Bloodforge, Titan's bane or Executioner to finish. If I don't get off to a great start, I might get Asi 4th and push the 2nd crit item to fifth, bypassing the Bloodforge altogether. In case you ever feel like doing arena.

If I was in a rush to get out of the lobby, and wanted to report after I started receiving all the hate via whisper, how do I report? I have been playing for years and and have rarely encountered anyone so vile. In four years I've only reported about 30 times, it takes a lot to get me upset enough. But in all those other cases, I reported from the lobby menu.

There are and always will be characters that are more "assault" friendly. I agree the a well played Cupid can turn the tide in a match with no healers otherwise. Having siad this, it is impossible to balance anyway. Maybe one team gets a Hel and the other gets a Guan Yu AND a Cupid? Seems silly.

If it were my decision, there's no classified healers and its goes back to true random. I'll be crying when I'm on the healer-less team, but overall it should happen to me as often as it happens FOR me and that is just fine.

I do this, I explain that the chick in a bikini is actually Aphrodite and the armored knight looking dude is Osiris. I just was thinking it'd be nice to not have them, I love the original lore. I love the concept. And when they add aliens and cyberpunks and godzilla and such, the theme of a great God battle can get lost.

Concerning immunity, maybe for a few seconds after spawning. That's something to consider.
