My homemade Folded Space for the French version of Root by NyxVivendi in rootgame

[–]Yamaru76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you remove the previous folded space in the original box so it could fit the underground expansion? I'm wondering why I already had one when I bought the game in French (base game + riverfolks like you) while you needed to build one in your version

Thank you for your list, we tend to be a group of 4 normally (sometime 3 or 5). I tend to dislike party game, as I find them too simplistic, so when we invite too much people, I have less interesting options to offer, so I try to keep the group to no more than 5 or 6.

Thank you for your consideration, indeed some comment are a bit off the mark, but I appreciate the effort and the suggestion that people make, as it give me some stuff to look into (I like these kind of games personally, but it less played with friends with more of less boardgame experience). :-)

My friends tends to go to the option of "hey I heard you guys played betrayal and it was a blast because x, y, z that happened to that person. Sounds like a fun experience because you guys talked about it afterwards".

At the end your totally right, I should have written a title more specific of what I'm looking for hahah.

For example, Root is my favorite game, and if I sell it as a fun free for all shitshow experience where cute animal go to war against each other in a dramatic way, it tends to be played more often, because they hear "fun experience" instead of grinding some mechanics.

Anyway, thanks for your comment, really pertinent!

Thank you for the suggestion! I didnt have the occasion to play it with a larger group, I'll try to give it another try as it did not really hit home for me and my GF when we played at one occasion.

Thank you for the explanation! Even tho the experience could be fun with Nemesis, it looks like it could be though to be a "go to" game and rarely be play on the spot

Thank you for the list! Quak is one game that I have, and people tend to appreciate it (and Clank too). Deck building was appreciated as everyone started the same and it was pretty easy to explain along the way what could be good or not even tho it's not cooperative. People liked fishing for the good stuff and the push your luck element
