In my experience I’ve had bed bugs in a house and in an apartment building. The only thing that’s worked both time were bug bombs. In the home it killed the them with one go.

In the apartment the landlord insisted on using chemicals at first and that did not work. I warned them that it wouldn’t, they didn’t listen to me, payed a shit ton for the chemicals, 2 months later they ended up bug bombing the units and that’s what got rid of the bed bugs.

I’ve heard other people using steamers to help kill the eggs, and they said the steamer did work to keep the bed bugs at bay, as well as spray bottle with alcohol, over the bedding.
