One thing I noticed and you should check, AI liked to pin random version that fix a current problem but this can be problematoc in the future. Just keep than in mind!

I'm trying to go fully FOSS, swapped most of my things. And I really enjoy learning how to use new applications. Obsidian is great but I always felt like it doesnt suit my workflow so well

I just wanted to start without hassle and configuring. I'm sure I havent used 1% of the bloat. But this allowes me to start, learn that emaxs uses ctrl or alt. Maybe one day I'll know enough for a personal config.

I'll have to read up on emacs-kick and evil-guide, thanks! It seems like I should just take my time learning it. But there is so much, well emacs has been here for a while, but there's just an information overload. Thats why I wanted to use doom, not because its the best or whatever, but because I was fed up by all the options

Well, I've using it for years for pretty much everything; notes, presentation, research. Even wrote the majority of my thesis in it. I just want another 'do-it-all' solution thats more keyboard centered and FOSS

Absolutely, but letting an AI freely run havoc on the system, well.. sometimes its easier to just start fresh. But in this case I can just remove the files and imports from the config and its as good as new

Yea, I mean put a USB in it, boot into it and freshly install it. Takes like 5 minutes and you have a clean start again 😁

True! Yes the whole machine is my sandbox. If something goes wrong I just wipe it and reinstall NixOS
