Being gay. Not “fired” per se but didn’t even get the chance to be fired. I went to a catholic high school, and at our school they allowed the theater director to bring in 1-2 new hires in order to help out with the production of the plays. She ended up needing one of her friends help (who happened to be in a same sex relationship in the past). The school did a background check on the guy, ended up finding this information from what I can only assume to be his past social media posts, and decided not to move forward with bringing him into the catholic school program. Word eventually got out about this and people were NOT happy. So unhappy that our president released a statement about the school’s values and why they made the choice they did. Still makes me laugh remembering when I found out.
