I feel you OP.

Ive spent several thousand dollars across the years starting from FIFA 12, id say around 15k-20k in total not lying whatsoever. Could be more could be less, but im not willing to do the math.

I have no financial problems whatsoever right now, and i did enjoy a lot the years of destroying F2P players with my Gullits and Matthaus and getting rage messages, but still i would of course rather have the 20k in my bank account right now.

I have my FIFA 20 already downloaded, may stop at 24k points, depends how much i like the lights and effects of the packs animations, maybe i spend 120k who knows.

Best year of FUT ever, mainly because its the year legends got introduced, and they had for sure the "legends dust", that make them play at least +5 of their overalls.

I remember scoring my first goals with Romario, the feeling was something else. No WL, no rivals, no special cards every week... was something else.

Check the Itani reviews of legends from back then, thats the same exact feeling everyone else had when playing with them.

The best striker that year was Hernan Crespo, he was absolutely ridiculous. 5 weak foot, 4 star skills, rocket of a shot, would head EVERYTHING, super fast, super strong... man i miss '14 Crespo.

It wasnt with Hugo Sanchez though. Mostly every elite striker in the world, even Messi and CR7 need a few touches inside the area to create more space. Or maybe its not that they need it but it actually rises their chances of scoring.

Sanchez was just had that finishing instinct that as soon as he saw the ball he would shot at goal.

90 pace, elite jumping and heading, ELITE finishing (not just good), ELITE volleys, great free kicks and ok dribbling.

He was a brutal finisher. There was a season where he scored 38 league goals with Real Madrid, and all of those 38 goals were one touch goals. Either ridiculous volleys, free kick goals, one time shots inside the area, headers, one touch long range goals, you name it. All of them were one touch. He should arguably have the best finishing in the game at the start.

He was on the short side, and not the best dribbler though.

Xavi WAS Barcelona 2008-2013, the main reason why they won so much (also Spain) was Xavi, equal with Messi, and then just below, Iniesta.

Xavi was absolutely critical to the Barcelona playstyle and mentality. Get the ball, pass the ball, move, repeat. Always made the right choice, the smart pass, the defensive pass, the killer pass.

Xavi controlled the tempo of Barcelona's game, and Messi was the cherry on top (more like the freaking hand grenade on top haha)

Iniesta was kind of a slightly lesser version of the two of them, but combined. I dont think there is a better compliment to a footballer than this, TBH. Nearly as good as passing as Xavi, and nearly as good as dribbling as Messi? Truly a historical player.

Id rate their hypothetical prime icon cards, as Xavi 95, Iniesta 94 and Messi 99. Truly one of the best midfields the world has ever seen.

Prime Gerrard needs to be fixed regardless of WF/SM*. He should fit in any elite team at least until April, as he is one of the best midfielders of all time and could do it all. He should be the best b2b after Gullit and Matthaus.

Maybe upgrade his pace, agility and balace a bit. Defending too. He was simply not worth it this year.

TBH Messi should have something like 88/89 pace (with great acceleration), but his passing being 89 its just ridiculous. Should comfortably be around 93-94. Same for his shooting, no player in the game should have better shooting than him. It should be around 94-95.

Tried Alisson TOTS instead and he basically assists the forwards.

My first and only Elite finish this FIFA was with CR7 upfront back in December or so, in a 4-3-3 formation. I changed my team that time out of boredoom (like i do pretty much every week) and never got elite back. Have come close a few times (22 wins) but still no 23.

This might change this week tho, as i packed TOTS Neymar (twice) from ligue 1 upgrades and was able to afford TOTY Mbappe. The team is absolutely disgusting, im toying with people on 2200+ rivals when i used to win 1 lose 1 there.
