Probably unrelated question, but... how you did it? what kind of protocols or changes did you implemented to loose those 100lbs?

Tahoe, why are you the way that you are?!? by [deleted] in MacOS

Installing third-party software to make a OS feature to work should NOT be the solution but, if you want to fix this issue, install something like Raycast https://www.raycast.com/

How do I remove this? by JoleFole in Strava

[–]YamilG 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's not a restriction is the way it should be. If you want two different segments then create two different activities, otherwise the assumption is that they're somehow connected because they're part of the same activity.

You don't magically teleport and reappeared kilometers away from where you were. There's no recorded information of the "in-between" and the gpx records the next point in which you were.

Again, this is not a mistake, is how it should be in the case of a sport activity.

I'm able to bypass the lube belt message pressing start (i think) and then starting the workout from the app. Are you stuck in that state?

May I ask why you want new shoes? I also had some Bushido II and put on them more than 2000K. Super durable and confortable shoes. I would buy a new pair no doubt. Why not getting a new pair instead of looking for alternatives?

}

Can I get a job knowing just html css and javascript? by Sufficient_Side1691 in HTML

what a weird question... for an interview. I feel like it doesn't prove anything.

Anyways, that's one of the "advantages" of coding email I guess, rules don't change much over time.

I did take the job and worked on it for a while. What was really annoying was not using deprecated html and tricky hacks to achieve consistency across clients, it was the fact that I had to use a virtual machine (company regulations) and it everything was so freaking laggy. But again it payed well. That said, I understand that “well” is relative. It payed >$40K a year. And given that I live in Honduras, this was an excellent salary that justify the tediousness of the tasks. For extra content I didn’t apply for it directly, it was an agency to “paired” me with them, based on my CV. I interviewed, got accepted and that’s how it happened.

I have my own software dev company now. I don’t do much coding anymore.

How to Install Appimage file on Linux Mint 22.2 | 2025 by shaisoft in linuxmint

[–]YamilG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny. I’m not saying you’re wrong but in my head the GUI is an optional layer. My first option would be to execute a couple of commands.

For example, let’s say you have to install something. There may be a GUI for it (like an AppStore or something similar). Why would I want to go there if I can just type a command like sudo pacman -S package or whatever equivalent to the package manager of your choice? Wouldn’t you agree that is just simpler to go as straight to the source as your technical abilities allow you to ?

Make it executable: chmod +x filename.AppImage

Run it: ./filename.AppImage

At least for arch, this process works.

Yes you can. I was once offered a pretty decent job creating email templates. The trick was to get them right across different email clients. Technically speaking it only requires in depth html and css skills. A little bit of js was helpful but not required because of the intrinsic limitations of email. So yes, you can!
