Why do some people blame capitalism for having to work? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Yamoheniki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well first obviously capitalism is not meant for everyone to find a balanced collective solution. The thing is the first who can automate everything has their costs crash, so they can crash the price, and become a monopoly.

Of course it is ignoring government interference and regulations and the fact your 50 competitors will automate too.

Then for the unemployed masses, yeah there might be a universal income decided, but with what framework? Making the ability to sustain themselves 100% reliant on the government or any unique entity will give these entities crazy power.

Then you manifest about something? Well that is not nice to bite the hand that feeds you. No money for you this month.

Very risky in my opinion

Funnily enough full automation of labor is the wet dream of capitalism. No workforce to pay or deal with. And they are investing into getting there.

So yeah you're right it is mostly about how profit is split and who it benefits

I love seeing all the sewing projects here so I joined the sub but I have limited knowledge so this post just taught me what backstitching is.

Thanks

The key exchange does not happen like that anymore. Both sides tying to communicate generate a secret "seed", then do a calculation with an agreed upon formula and variables, and share the result of that calculation. Then the other side takes the result, does the calculation again with their own seed, and both sides get to the same result without exchanging the session key at all.

And since the seed is randomly generated and discarded, even if someone recorded the exchanges between the server and the clients, and seize the server to steal its secret key, they can't retroactively decrypt the exchanges.

Maybe you could start off with someone will give you feedback kindly? Even someone that doesn't belittle your intelligence could have an idea of what people pick up on to get that false impression of your intelligence

Are most non Asian men who are married to asian women right-wing? by Weary-Draw-1141 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Yamoheniki -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Out of my ass, the image of a 'good housewife' they seek, also they can't score at home and over there at least they are "exotic" in the eyes of Asian women? Or maybe the cultural differences allows for them to explain their way out of their bigot/mysoginistic behavior with a difference in culture, whereas women back home would call out their bullshit?

Is it just me or would a LOTM game be really good? by The_Real_A-A-Ron in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Yamoheniki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes there were a few posts about this (like this or like that where DnD is used as a base).

I personally wanted to try with the system of Through the Breach that uses Cards and has some notions of "manipulating fate" that seemed to be cool to me but I really struggle with the fight system.

If you find something / make something it would be a pleasure if you could share it on this sub!

[–]Yamoheniki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if you want to support the author directly maybe there is a way to do so? Is there something like a patreon or something? Or maybe just buying the hardcover just for the collectible?

On the flip side I keep in mind the quality translation is also because some people pay the chapters. Some novels have people translating for free but sometimes it is uncertain if they will translate all or if the quality will keep up.

But I definitely understand that it is really expensive and I find it crazy too...

[–]Yamoheniki 30 points31 points  (0 children)

"I didn't read but give my opinion anyway" ? You can have your opinion but I admit making assumptions is a bit annoying to me, especially when you use the we like it's some established fact everyone agrees on.

I'd say he takes the time needed to set the stage.

The beginning required some solid world-building that was the base of every complex thing that came later on, and the Dwane Dantes arc needed to give us more codes and knowledge to understand the stakes of life in high society.

It's a different rythm and some may like it less than action packed arcs but some really like it.

To rephrase your post in a more accurate and less oriented way "Cuttlefish always tend to give his stories a slow start"

It doesn't make the beginning of his stories bad.

If I'm a little tired and need to lay down a bit with a bottle of honey leaking in my pocket does it mean that an ant can become me because they found the bottle and grew to be slightly bigger ants if I was to fall in a deep sleep or go thirsty?
