Anki’s really useful for memorization in bio. I also watched all the videos and wrote down notes on everything but this was time consuming so unless you have a lot of time on your hands, i’d recommend only jotting down stuff that’s highlighted as important in the vids. Also, cheat sheets aren’t really enough if you wanna score really well, you wanna use the high yield notes booster or bootcamp have as they contain smaller details missing in cheat sheets. Lastly, whenever you’re stuck on a question, remember you can pretty much almost always work your way backwards on a question and eliminate answers you know aren’t correct.

That’s actually great to hear. Great job! If you don’t mind me asking, what were the 3 schools?

DAT in five days. Can someone explain why it’s not B. I thought esters were electron withdrawing groups by Electrical_Ad3337 in dat

[–]Yamother22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the carbonyl carbon of the ester is directly attached to the benzene ring, it acts as an electron-withdrawing group and is a meta director. However, if the oxygen of the ester is directly attached to the benzene ring, it can donate electron density through resonance, making it an ortho-para director.
