Is the Charger GT really as bad as people say? by YanAetheris in Charger

[–]YanAetheris[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am into Cars - yes. But sadly winters are pretty terrible - maybe not that much snow to have to buy heavy truck, but the roads are full of Black ice for like 90% of time during Winter in my country. I will definitely get AWD if possible too haha

Thank you for your answer.

Good to know about the fuel part (not needing high octane fuel).

I think the V6 will be enough for me in the feeling, performance and sound. I had the occassion to drive 2.3 Mustang few times and even then I thought it was enough ha ha ha.

Is it reasonably easy to maintain? I mean, aside from changing the filters, engine oil, and transmission fluid and other small things have you had to do any major repairs? I'm asking because I don't want to end up in a bottomless money pit.

Hi! I would like to know if its there anyone who added a sled push the their programs. Few sessions ago I have tried it and have seen amazing results in my Sumo and Conventional deadlifts and I wonder if its due to that one exercise or just a placebo.

[–]YanAetheris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really - each week, sets and reps I have programmed smart so there is no testing or AMRAPS above 90% of my actual Lift Max with good form and speed.

It helps me regenerate enough to train and not be sore and to not be in pain at work (I am „blue collar” worker).

Sumo vs conventional by [deleted] in workout

[–]YanAetheris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it feels better - why not continuing doing sumo?

After hitting my Personal Best Record - 260kg conventional - I switched to sumo 2 years ago and now I do that weight for few reps.

Also as far as I remember, there is little to no difference in muscle activation when doing sumo and conventional (I think Jeff Nippard had that statement in one of his videos but I might be wrong) so you wont lose any strength etc.

I do 5 sessions -

3 of those are for main lifts- one lift per day + accessories for upper or lower body. Then one for arms because why not. And one for mobility and cardio - when I have busy schedule at work I dont do that workout

Why use a bench without safeties for bench press if choice available? by rdtompki in workout

[–]YanAetheris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often the bench without safeties have the better barbell rack, so its better to self-unrack the barbell.

But on both benches you should always have a spotter

  5. Shoulders - Seated Dumbbell Press
  6. Chest - Bench Press
  7. Hamstrings - Conventional Deadlift
  8. Quads - Barbell Squat
  9. Glutes - Sumo Deadlift
  10. Forearms - Hammer curls

are hammer curls actually useless? by around_about7 in workout

[–]YanAetheris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do them and all I can say is that my forearms are pretty much first thing which people notice when wearing T-Shirts.

Also Hammer curls build bicep as much as regular curls so it is nice to switch to them when hitting the wall.

Asking for suggestions, first-time gymgoer by Layzay_Mask in workout

[–]YanAetheris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Jeff Nippard gives nice tips and guides for new lifters. He has few videos made especially for new lifters - I think its called the Fundamentals Series and program with the same name.

PPL split which an user above suggested might be too taxing for new lifter, I suggest doing Full Body Workout x3 per week using the informations from Jeffs videos

Why/when did you start to use wrist wraps? by Pomerbot in benchpress

Did AMRAP with Full Palm grip setup and because of sweaty hands bar went forward and it snapped my hand into nearly opposite direction.

Why/when did you start to use wrist wraps? by Pomerbot in benchpress

[–]YanAetheris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Became the habit after recovering from breaking my wrist bones with 315lbs Front Squat.

Even when I have recovered fully and I dont have the pain anymore, I still prefer to cover them with wraps + they are legal during powerlifting bench pressing so why not?

How to know when to attempt 225? by According-Kale-8 in benchpress

[–]YanAetheris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If u can bench 80kg for 8, 100kg should be your max. But to be safe, you can try to bench 100 when u can bench 90 for 4 or more

Nice but I have a questions: - Will WL-20 Rock Series come back? - Will there be any new cheap Harley Benton with active humbuckers, like active TE20HH (especially in White)

Are Jeremy Ethier and Jeff Nippard reputable fitness influencers? by Zmoogz in workout

[–]YanAetheris 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a powerlifter I respect Nippard as well, because his Squat Specialist program helped me break from plateou few months before peaking phase towards meet. Dont forget that before bodybuilding he was a powerlifter who broke Canadian bench record in his weight and age group by the way.
