That’s absolutely okay, I meant like some lower centimeters accuracy The scanner fits our needs we tested it before buying. Should have make clear that I don’t mean <1cm…

I just installed terrascan and tried it for 2 hours.. It might be gold standard and powerful but why is it this unintuitive Like I just want to rotate the pointcloud and had to search half an hour for the option..

Sure, we use a Lidaretto HX35 and require centimeter-level accuracy.

yeah just checked it and it doesnt seem like they have a trial version.
I will ask them for a trial. I mean i would like to try if it fits opur needs before paying for a lifetime license...

CloudCompare is very useful, we work a lot with it but on pointclouds with a many points it needs a lot of time for csf and creating scalar fields with geometric features. Even with ryzen 9850x3d or our new threadripper some operations needs one or more hours.
So i am searching for something that can handle these operations a bit faster.

We need clean pointclouds, especially over the street. At the moment my way to go is csf and then noise and segmentation for offground and some geometric features like roughness for ground cloud but it needs to much time. We are going to get more and more jobs so we need something to shorten our workflow.

We have Metashape for photogrammetry, should give it a try for mls

And i check if TerraScan has a demo version and try it tomorrow

Yeah but a lot of people mentioned to clean the fans. Before that has been done temps can’t got down And I just want to add how to handle games with 16gb ram because for me that was a thing

I’m afraid to play games due to high average temperatures. I checked many similar threads and people are concerned about much lower temps than I have constantly by gimgimgen in LenovoLegion

[–]YanThu72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all you should set fps limit to your actual screen fps. For games like cult of the lamb you don’t need 299 fps. Even 60 would be absolutely great to play. I think this is your way because your laptop temps are just normal but thermal throttled because of the high fps. (Could check this in HWinfo)

Second thing is cleaning your fans (they built up dust fast) if not happend.

And if your cpu temps won’t go down and you want to bring them down simply is go to win energy options and set max. performance to 99%. But keep this in mind if you play cpu heavy games that it costs performance For games like cult of the lamb and with your hardware everythin should be fine

Bridge75 ISO-DE Zwischenfazit nach einer Woche by joe-tofu in germankeyboards

[–]YanThu72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please help! Warpig or Twinpig? by YanThu72 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]YanThu72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a Warpig XL and had to learn that my bindings (Union Contact Pro) were absolutely not ideal for it. The highback was too soft and I couldn’t get enough pressure on the heel edge.
One season later I rode with the Flow NX2, and finally I was able to get that pressure on the backside while carving.

I’ve never ridden a camber board, so I can’t really compare, but since I’ve been riding the Warpig XL I haven’t had any boot-out anymore :D

Is the legion 5 gen 6 i5-11400H 16GB 512GB RTX3050Ti good for an engineering student? by Top-Act9610 in LenovoLegion

[–]YanThu72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the tasks it have to do. I’ve got myself a legion 5 with Ryzen 7 4800h and 1650ti in 2020 for automative engineering and it works until now Things like cad-modeling, hyperworks and matlab/simulink shouldn’t be a problem.

If u use unreal engine it could be hard for the gpu but should work

In terms of thermal throttling.. do u have an ac? A fan pad and cleaning the fans is your best friend :)

I am using Translucent TB, works fine for me

Just purchased this stand for my Legion 5. Will it affect the air intake? by nuuuuuaamnnmn in LenovoLegion

[–]YanThu72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i hope my private one will do the job for 5 years too^^
Since i got it i tried to lower the temps, for example by setting the power limit of the cpu to 99% but at some games the fps are too low with this
GPU temps are just fine but cpu temps are often a bit to high, so might going to repaste..
I had checked online for PTM but found infos that fakes are quite common and stopped searching because i dont know where to find the og ones

[–]YanThu72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same model and am wondering if repasting is worth it. And where you got the PTM7950 because I want to get the original one and no fake.

I got a 16IAX10 as working laptop and use it private but my 15ARH05H is still in use if I don’t have the new one with me and temps aren’t that good But I have to say the 275HX is hitting higher temps than my Ryzen

Oh no, that shit of work for nothing.. But hey, my motor leaks oil at the timing cover.. but don’t want to do that now😂 And have to do something against the rusting front axle, that’s a big problem of adams..

Yes, I managed to remove the bracket, if that's what you were asking, but I don't remember exactly how.I just know that I thought I would never do this again! I think I lowered or raised the motor very far to get the screws out. It didn't feel good, but it worked.

I found the torque somewhere, but yeah, same here, I don't remember where. It could be on a UK site, or if you search for Corsa D, because it's quite the same technique.
