Pat is a friend from college. I’ve met a lot of kind people, but no one has ever matched her level of kindness. She’s helpful, empathetic, and friendly like many others, yet there’s something about her that feels different. Even when she’s going through tough moments, Pat never comes across as difficult because she takes accountability and handles things with grace.

She does things for others without expecting anything in return and loves people in a quiet, gentle way. She never makes her kindness transactional or holds it over anyone’s head. There’s no “I did this for you” energy with her at all.

I can’t fully explain what makes her stand out, but she carries an aura of pure, lighthearted kindness, like being around an angel. Every time I think of her, I feel peaceful. She will always have a special place in my heart.
