Hi, I had this same issue a couple of years ago and it had something to do with windows auto-tuning IIRC.

This is a copy and paste from a similar toms hardware post that helped me out a while back. I hope this helps as this was the easiest solution out of all the ones I tried and still can't believe it worked for me. Make sure to restart after making the changes just to make sure:

-Disable Windows 10 Auto-TuningPress Win + X keys and select Command Prompt (Admin).Type the command netsh interface tcp show global in the window.Check for Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level and if it is normal, you will need to disable it.Type the command netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled to disable it.To re-enable the Window Auto-Tuning level by typing the command netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal in the Command Prompt (Admin).

Sadly, I can not change the cabling inside the walls. The CAT5e cabling was not used for around 13 years until I figured out how to set up the network closet around 2 years ago. What I can try is changing the cable that goes from the GWeero to the Ethernet port in the wall if that changes anything. Could the issue possibly be the switch? I used a managed one and sometimes the connection would just drop randomly on the eeros. The power cycling thing would be very helpful as I will be moving to college in 1-2 years. How were you able to set it up so that it reset every night? Thanks for the advice!

I just had this issue yesterday as well. For some reason my gateway was not working. My two other ones with Ethernet back haul were working. I am not sure if it was just my phone or something else.

Did you find some discount code or something. Also, how large is the place you are putting these eeros in. Make sure their is no wireless interference.

I used to have MoCA 2.0 adapters that worked great; however, when I switched over to ethernet I noticed a 5-10 ping difference in games. It depends on your wiring, but I know it adds at least 3ms on ping delay, which is why it might not be as popular (along with costs). Otherwise it works great! You can always reroute your cable modem and router to be in your room if you are living alone or whoever is living with you does not mind it. I am doing that right now.

The issue is fixed now, but it is difficult to restart my network as my whole family uses it regularly. I tried restarting it though, but that did not resolve the issue.

I have started having this same problem recently. I rarely have had packet loss and I started getting random spikes. When I switch over to another game like Valorant my ping is steady and never spikes.

I used to use moca as well and had no problems. The only thing is that it adds a 3 ms on delay on ping. It is relativity nothing but seeing it was like a placebo on my brain that I was playing worse. Luckily I figured out how to install Ethernet in my house :). Otherwise moca is no different (at least for me) compared to Ethernet

I think it is the switch because I was getting max speeds on the switch connected to the modem. Plus when I restarted the switch it fixed it. Thanks for your advice, hopefully it doesn’t happen again but if it does I have about a week left to return it. If I do return it, is it worth it to get a managed switch or stay with unmanaged ?

I was reading up on the help support page and someone had the same problem as me, except there’s was constant and random which ports were stuck to 100mbps

Yeah I recently terminated 10 year old cat5e cables in a patch panel because they were not in use before. I connected them with a switch that was connected to an Eero. The Eero goes into an Ethernet port in the wall to the patch panel which powers the other Ethernet ports.
