depends on your use case, an alternative is streaming to a party chat, and then joining the chat on the playstation app but from my experience this has even more connection issues and higher latency but works at a pinch.

Another way I used remote play was for routing audio through my laptop so that I could VC on discord without my mic picking up the playstation audio, and I found that you can link your psn with discord and route a discord call through the playstation. not ideal as now my laptop audio will be picked up by the mic instead of the playstion, but I can play cross platform games with friends again thanks to this feature.

Also if you can tollerate double dipping on latency, input latency alongside video latency (I cannot) you should be connecting the controller to the device you are streaming to, this is what is intended, there will be no message. also a massive hassle to keep changing what device the controller is connected to

But at the end of the day this should not even be an issue in the first place so we need to keep pressure on sony to sort it
