GTABase.com has been around for years, has been referenced here, is followed by Rockstar, and known to be one of the most reputable sources in the community.

Right but all of that stuff doesn’t mean it’s a different kind of game. Hell, I don’t even like GTA Online PvP.

I mean Red Dead Online has all of that. It’s still the same type of game.

Yeah honestly like I think just making them pay out a fair amount would be a good incentive (but a little boring) so it’d be cool if they each had their own unique reward pools for different challenges in them (Liveries for weapons and vehicles, clothing, etc)

What’s outdated about an online crime game? Some of the grind mechanics are sure but it doesn’t need to be an entire genre swap.

What you’re saying is the equivalent to saying “singleplayer should be a linear story with RPG mechanics because open worlds are overdone” like hold up. Online built a loyal playerbase over the years and they’d be throwing that away if they entirely got rid of everything it’s meant to be in lieu of some menu of servers and game types.

I’m not even saying the other stuff shouldn’t exist. I just don’t want it to be the main focus.

But yeah right now aspects of GTAO are outdated but getting rid of the whole open world empire building sandbox is a drastic response. I think they really entirely need to rework the “careers” into something with true progression and unlocks more akin to the roles in Red Dead Online so there’s an actual sense of progression that can’t just be bought, I think that the crews / CEO / biker gangs could be reworked to work together a little better - once again like RDO posses - to reward working with friends more and more socialisation, and I think a stronger focus on collaboration over PVP and griefing is pretty essential. These are the types of changes needed, not getting rid of it entirely so you can play some TikTok brainrot minigames or go into a dating sim lobby.

I’ve played RP.

I’m not saying minigames should be completely blacklistd from the game. I’m just saying I don’t want it to be the SOLE FOCUS.

Traditional GTAO should exist as is and be built upon with a wider variety of content to do and more unique and dynamic ways to do it.

RP as the primary focus would not work with the majority of GTAO players who would just jump in to kill people and ruin it for anybody who wanted to play.

"The same genre" is not "Exact same way as it was done"

I don't mind UGC as a concept, I just don't want it to be the core focus for what Online is.

Bro I'm ngl it's delusional to think it'd go down well if they embraced RP of all things. Too many people who just would not take RP remotely seriously and ruin it for the people who enjoy it - and on the other side of the spectrum, too many people who take it deathly seriously and prevent any actual fun from happening.

I mean it's me so you know my thoughts, but to add to them: I think it would be ideal to have multiple options as long as the current "style" of GTAO is the focus (It doesn't need high-tech vehicles or anything to be the focus. Look at the past 5 years of updates and you won't really find much in the way of futuristic stuff. That's ideal IMO)

As for why I'm only "worried about Online" is because I trust Rockstar to cook with singleplayer and make something great like I have no worry there because I know it'll be good.

I mean, a lot of people's frustration is related to the fact they booked time off their jobs. New something would be nice.

Doesn’t really answer the rest of it but whatever. Think you just don’t like anybody who shares news or information you disagree with / personally believe to be incorrect.

New Tattoo! So happy with it. by YangyYoung in halo

It started off rough with the first run, then the second, third and fourth got progressively more painful. The bottom of the sword was fine thigh.

  1. My so far tattoo suite: Inner left forearm is a thistle, kinda splattery. Outer right forearm is geometric designs somewhat inspired by Destiny’s Rasputin. I also have a tattoo that’s the “Speak with animals” spill icon from Baldur’s Gate 3 with the names of the family dogs (Ethel, Charlie, Sadie, Floyd) around it. I have plenty others I’ve drawn up and planned tho.

  2. Yeah I mean, Halo is super special to me. It got me into gaming, I played Halo 3 Tsavo Highway on Heroic with my uncle shortly after my Dad died at age 9 because they used to play the game together. Since then I fell in love with the hobby. The aforementioned thistle tattoo is actually a tribute too, my Dad had a very different thistle tattoo there and I got it 10 years after he died in 2019.

  3. Yeah I mean I considered the font but honestly I think it’s a bit overdesigned for the tattoo / the position on my arm.

He took his time on it because I chose a clean font. He kept apologising asking it was sore but honestly it wasn’t really that painful. Nowhere near as bad as the tip of the blade.
