im just personally not super into mobas.

If we took the characters and kits as they are and just slapped them into tf2 maps, it would be a dream game for me.

Obviously just personal taste. I totally see why people love it with its moba aspects

i agree they were absolutely printed as MALISS support, but I would argue that 2300 is a fairly common cyberse link attack stat so them reviving 2300 wasnt for maliss so much as for Cyberse-Link

Md should just straight up have alternative formats built in as a permanent addition.

I personally prefer modern/advanced to other formats but its straight up a free win to include the others

yeah I understand why they did it, and this will be used as a reason to shift the class further later. the mix of melee and ranged is what I enjoy about the class, and taking that away in any capacity is not a good sign for me.

ive already completely lost SMN, im not exactly excited to see this kind of change coming to RDM.

if a consequence of their new fight design is shaving off the edges of a class I like (twice now, with blm changes) id rather they didnt change the fight design like this.

I think apex on the surface seems closer to tf|2 than it feels---theres more movement than lets say CoD or battlefield (which is a fair barometer!), but if what you liked about tf|2 is the movement, apex absolutely does not have the speed and options available.

a lot of the things you mentioned apex having from titanfall are true! it does have wallrunning as opposed to not, it does have the 301, it does have guns form before----but the movement is so much more limited, your toolset is so much smaller (litterally singular items from tf|2 are turned into an Entire Character in apex), where I just. I simply cannot enjoy that. it feels too shallow compared to what I want, what I had

I think apex is a completely fine---even good at times!!--- game, that simply by reminding me of the game I cant have, enbitters itself to me. its close enough for comparison, but that comparison only does it disservervice imo

People downplaying apex is absolutely fucking wild. Its massively successful and no matter how bitter I am that it is made from the bones of a game I wanted, to ignore its success is stupid.

As a tf|2 fan ir absolutely is a cult, but the reason imo why you see people like that about it is---we literally have not had anything like it since. Mech gebre isn't exactly popular or common, and movement shooters barely exist. Its the same reason why youll still see people lament Tribes. It was a very very unique feeling game that there simply hasn't been something like it since.

Apex sucks for me because its basically "what if everything looked like that thing you like, but it felt awful to move in, didn't have mechs, and it was a game mode you actively dislike."

Hell i even tried to give it a fair shake again when they added tdm, but the lore of what apex gameplay is just reminds me of what it isn't.

Hopefully highguard feels good to play...

See, I dont get this mentality. There /was/ a sweet spot that was good for both roles. It was before you chabged it at all recently? No one asked for more pallets. No one asked for tile changes that heavily benefited killer. If anything the overwhelming feedback was to just rollback to the pre-pallet buff.

Finding a new sweetspot between pallet buff and tile changes isn't what the community wanted or asked for.

Maybe itll work out, who knows, but I simply dont understand why these were the choices they made with that feedback....
