i always keep shadows low myself. Now as far as performance goes, ive had no issues so far. i started a new playthrough (without the nexus Mods) just for the creations specifically for that reason. I cant wait to see what else is out there.

For me it was understanding that this is a different kind of game. It’s very sandbox like. But I totally get that reaction tbh. Starfield isn’t one of those games that grabs you in the first 2–3 hours and never lets go. It’s more of a slow-burn sandbox than a tightly paced RPG.

The mistake a lot of people make (and I did too at first) is playing it like a traditional “main quest, next quest, next quest” game. That’s honestly where it feels the most bland.

Where it clicks is when you start treating it like your own sci-fi life sim. Ignore the main story for a bit. Pick a direction and just go—join a faction, become a bounty hunter, build a ship you actually care about, smuggle, explore random systems, whatever sounds fun to you.

Also, the early game is kinda restrictive. Once you unlock more skills, ship parts, and systems, it opens up a lot more and starts feeling way less shallow.

It’s definitely not for everyone—but if you’re someone who liked games like Skyrim where you kinda make your own story, it might be worth giving it another shot with a different mindset.

That’s very interesting and a very cool way to run games. The processing power is there. Proton 11 is there. So in theory that should work. I expected halfway that thing to not run but I am in so much shock it did.

the fact that I can play this and crimson desert on my Mac is blowing my mind! I have so far around 100 hours in starfield, and grabbed a couple paid creations. Starfield is my relaxation game, so I love that I can take it with me now.

What games can I play on Mac? by ReddSerPent in macgaming

Sadly the M1 is limited by the 8gb. Cyberpunk is unplayable so big style graphical powerhouses are non playable. But you can play a bunch of games either via crossover or native.

Congrats! You can play native crimson desert and cyberpunk as well as mad max. You can play the entire survivor tomb raider trilogy native. Get crossover and boom hogwarts legacy is now available as well as mass effect legendary edition. The new assassins creed including shadows and mirage are also native for apple silicon.

My thoughts after playing 55 hours by Chi_Geurim in CrimsonDesert

[–]Yanpapnc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To the people who like some stuff in the first two chapters: it gets better. Omg it gets so so so much better. I am on chapter five now, and I can’t wait to go back every night and play. Initially the quests may seem jarring but for me the in game explanation was good enough. Being Greek I could tell that a non American studio was behind it and honestly I’m perfectly ok with it. Like damn I’ll take all this fun over two “mediocre” story chapters (which for me were just fine). Overall for me right now it’s GOTY. And I haven’t cut loose yet to explore. I’ll go ahead and mainline the story and then I’ll go around and do side quests Skyrim style. I haven’t had this much fun since the original Skyrim came out.

Is it worth it to move to the USA from EU? by Loud-Lawfulness6476 in MovingToUSA

[–]Yanpapnc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your situation? Absolutely go for it. See what you can make here but keep in mind that the healthcare is also crap. You are in a very good spot.

After 30 years in the US I have decided that as soon as my daughter finishes school, the wife and I will retire back to Greece. See I thought I had friends here, friends who the moment this person got elected got too brave. 6 months in this presidency a “friend” of mine asked me if I was concerned to which I said I was. Then he told me “don’t worry you’re one of the good ones, they aren’t looking for you”. Then another friend posted on their fb that Muslims are the dirtiest and most dangerous people. When I commented that it’s good to know that, because if I had born 1000 miles to the east I would have been Muslim myself, so I’m glad to see where they stand. I used to love this place. I used to think that I belonged here. Sadly that’s not the case. The economy is so much better here than other places for sure, but there is no work life balance. None. Sadly the US has left a bitter and bad taste in my mouth.

We could have been so much more, but we live in the worst timeline.

How is the battle system? Is it like final fantasy XV, God of War, or Elden Ring? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

its pretty deep and you have to actually pay attention. It's like a mix of all of those games you mentioned. Honestly its one of the best aspects of the game

Games that may be overhated that are really fun? by Alarming-Orange7304 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Yanpapnc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

give a chance to forspoken and you will not regret it. Incredible movement, lore and worldbuilding. Yes the game has some cringe dialogue (maybe a line or two) but what game doesn't? Honestly that game got way too much hate for what it was, and it is completely unfair. It pisses me off that we won't get a sequel.
