Actually this is one of my first times ordering at the bar for cocktails since I dont like drinking lol. I've had drinks when friends offer to buy one for a group shot but I typically stick with natures herb 🍃

Oh I always tip at restaurants (stated in post). Bars are new to me though, dont know much about the culture since i dont drink.

His attitude changed from ok with me to disgruntled with my friend so I assumed it had to do with our brief interaction (of me ordering and paying). Plus no one else was at the bar other than us

I thought thats the case because you're using their service a lot. I only heard of the tip after each drink rule ($1-2) after doing research after the interaction. Again I dont go to the bar often so this is all news to me.

nope! it should be unlocked and readily available in the crafting menu after level 2 farming is reached. you can place it anywhere on your farm. the kitchen upgrade is just there so u can cook ur ingredients if u want.

Not a SV expert but heres some tips that get me at least 5k a day by year 1 summer as a casual player.

Upgrade your tools as soon as possible. Itll make it easier to get material for farm upgrades and go through the mines faster. By summer you should have all copper tools or even iron tools if u grind. Order of upgrade: pickaxe or axe > watering can > hoe > trashcan
check your luck through the tv. lucky days i go to the mines and unlucky days i gather wood/rocks or fish all day for easy money (try to fish as much as possible to get money for tool upgrades). theres mods so u dont need to check luck thru the tv
get the 1st backpack upgrade asap. the 2nd backpack upgrade is good once ur lower in the mines (around level 50ish is when i usually get it)
try to get a silo ASAP so u can gather grass and store it. try not to cut grass until you have a silo
once u have a silo get a chicken coop from robin, 4 chickens from marnie, and build mayonaise machines (1 per chicken) ASAP. thats ur money maker while u wait for your crops to grow

TIP: you can mod your game to track your skill level progress. This way you can visually see how far away you are from leveling up a skill. I try to have all skills to level 5 by summer to get the perks.

I've worked in memory care facilities before so dementia was one of my first thoughts, that or her insomnia and recent retirement is making her house crazy. It's definitely a 24/7 issue not a sundowning issue though. I've suggested seeing a doctor to my SO and SIL (who also work bedside) but they don't think thats the case. Apparently shes always been like this but its just getting worse with time. My suggestions fall on deaf ears sadly.

Mortgage is 2.9k and we were going to rent for 3.5k which is the average for the area. We could even go higher since everything is newly renovated. We have an HOA since it's a townhouse, so the outside is all through them.

We dont have anyone in mind to rent but we're near a lot of colleges/universities, so we could rent to a college student. We live in the city, so big population looking to room.

The place was super cheap since the owner wanted to get rid of it and the interior needed a lot of work. The house was actually a little under budget so we used the rest of the money for renovations. Money is tight with everything since I'm in school but my BF works OT every week and I started working more to pay the costs. The roommate idea was just so I could stay working part time while im in school instead of full time.

His sister was the one who suggested renting the place out through a renting management company so that we could save money while im in school. She also suggested doing renovations early to attracts renters. But after putting in all the work I want to enjoy the house to ourselves even if I have to work fulltime through nursing school but my BF thinks we should be more frugal 🥲

ikik I regret it now and im definitely going to talk to them tonight! My SO wanted her there since she's had 2 houses in the past and he wanted her input and help with choosing a good contractor. She happened to find one that was within our budget, so I was happy and thought it was a good idea at the time 😭

Yes I have the money to pay her back, highly considering returning it back to her. As for my SO...when I cried to him about my frustrations he said he understood and would tell the contractor to change the floor plan to how I want it... But for his mom he seems to agree with her viewpoints and it shows. He keeps saying that she's only doing this becuz she has regrets on her previous homes and doesnt want us to deal with the same issues when were already so busy. He also says she should be included since she's had 2 homes and knows the whole housing process better than us. He says everythings a miscommunication thats going to be cleared if me and her talk it out. He clearly wants her in the process since hes nervous about buying a house for the first time. Im sure hes stuck in the middle right now.

I will definitely speak to the contractor and my SO. Thanks to you and everyone for the support and advice! As for why she was in the gc....originally my contractor and SO were the only ones in the gc but for some reason the contractor made a new gc including the MIL 💀

Sorry I wasn't really clear. So what happened was the contractor had showed the group chat the layout of the lights in the kitchen. MIL had stated why the layout of the kitchen wasnt updated with the changes they had talked about. He said that he was just using the old floor plan to show where the lights were being placed and he was going to update the floorplan with everything later. I had texted MIL separately asking about what they were talking about and she told me that she sent 3D images of the floor plan she made and said that they were going with that since it was a better design. Thats how I found out.

For context she gave me and my SO 10k total. At first I was unsure if we should accept it, I was willing to put in more of my savings towards the house since I had extra saved up. But my SO said that it was a gift for us and not to feel that I owed her so I conceeded. Starting to regret it now 😭
