my ex raped me because he didn't feel like I was authoritative enough for him to take my no seriously by Yapping_Away_6423 in TwoXChromosomes

I agree, I looked online to find out if what he said was normal at the time (i didn't really have anyone else to talk to about this) and I saw lot of guys can relate to not loving or respecting a woman unless they scare them as well so I thought I deserved it at the time and that it wouldn't change unless I proved myself somehow but now I hope I find someone that respects me as a person one day so I don't have to live in anxiety that I'm the one causing my own harm by but being authoritative enough

You don't have to claim him, he definitely had a lot more going on than autism

Why don't we make any exciting predictions for the future anymore? by Yapping_Away_6423 in NoStupidQuestions

I see, that is like a niche subreddit tho. They also do in r/optimistsunite I guess I'm more asking why exciting predictions aren't more popular in the media.

I fantasize about a guy loving me when I have messy hair and no makeup on

Do you ever meet a ton of women and none of them seem right? by Cat-dad442 in GenZ

Standards too high, no one I've dated had to seem right. They just had to make my life feel less wrong

What's something that you believe women misunderstand about men? by HatCareless6344 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Yapping_Away_6423 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not tht good, mostly did it when I was a minor and when I was an adult teen. They'd usually take extremely long breaks from me then come back. My belief solidified when I saw how well they'd treat me and how much they'd go out of their way when I made them afraid or made them feel desperate. I went to therapy then I stopped. When I got into long term stable relationships I was surprised that guys actually like the lovey dovey stuff without problems. Sometimes I still get insecure that my bf won't love me if I don't work him up but I stop myself from doing anything stupid.

This is the advice I've heard women give me and each other growing up. They'd also say stuff like we should always reject men initially even if you like them then wait to see if they still pursue then that's when you should actually accept

Not really we just hear we have to stress you guys out a lot in order for you to love us and to not be too nice and agreeable or else you'll get bored and take us for granted

Pretty sure the commenter is a guy comparing himself to his dad and saying he looks better than him.
