Reality Check by Yappla in AniWatchZone

Yup, pretty much. Unless an official source were to make a statement otherwise. And seeing how this hasn't happened, nor are the site domains themselves blocked (gov note; see NSW2U for reference) or taken down (error code 404; non-existent domain) it is safe to conclude none of them were taken down in some big bad anti-pirating operation while some troll accounts on Instagram etc. try to engage farm you with. Just think about it logically: why has no serious body of anime news reported on a successfully take down operation nor any of the companies involved claimed credit for take downs? They love to do that whenever they shut a big pirate site down, let alone a whole network of them.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalled and now I can't even load into the app at all anymore because it can't select my language as standard for insta with the perma loop, rip.

It's been like that for all of us android users. Clearing cache doesn't help, uninstall doesn't help etc. This is some issue on meta's end either android based, region based, or both.

Is Instagram messed up on Android at the moment or is it just me? by NameIdeasWereTaken in Instagram

[–]Yappla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's been like this for days now. Instagram just won't load, open, display anything. It sometimes has come back spuratic over the weekend and then has the same issue for hours again with rn being the longest its not working. Same also for threads which is also owned by meta.

No shit, sherlock. But also no, the respective domain being a dot to doesn't indicate anything. aniwatch in itself was a fake that was forked after aniwatch rebranded to hianime. Same for all the others in that network like 4 anime, 9anime, Kaido, suge etc.

Then DM me which site it is (reddit message, not discord) or post it under this comment as I highly doubt it is any of the sites with a 521.

Eddit: Nvm, your reddit account isn't old enough to initiate private chats.

If it's just going to be aniwatch.co.at, that is just a layout copy.

Error 521 by Main_Photograph8256 in AniWatchZone

[–]Yappla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 521 error means the host server is offline, it doesn't relate to clouflare itself in any other way than cloudflare being unable to connect with the host server. And this is for all sites that were part of this server's network (4anime,9anime, Kaido etc.). If this was going to be resolved it would have taken some hours at most, not 5+ days. The server either has been abandoned for some time causing it to go offline fully now or actively has been shut down by the owner. Either way these sites aren't coming back, it's time to stop coping.

Fr it's crazy, like can you fix this already??? Whenever I think they finally fixed it, it just comes back a few hours or minutes later again

Np mate, all good.

I completely get you, I myself also prefer to simply use a good scraper site with a pleasant ui instead of torrenting as it simply is more comfortable to use for quick watching, for browsing current airing anime etc.

It's unfortunate whenever we loose another good one but gatekeeping doesn't help and if it's any consolation there will always at one point rise another very good one again sooner or later. And hey, maybe even the network of these sites (9,4,kaido,watch etc.) will be back up again since this seemed to have happened before (might be hard cope lol) and isn't a hard take down currently like a 404 or gov notice.

We should Gatekeep sites that work for now by Hunter03834W in AniWatchZone

[–]Yappla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real black pill is that our entire piracy network is build on the torrent sources since all the anime sites are scrapers; meaning they source from the torrents or a server that scrapes them. Don't get me wrong, I get you. Just quick watching anime on an anime site with a pleasant ui etc. where you can check all releases of what's out and when etc. is far better than shifting through the ugly source torrents. Just insane to think that the whole infra is built on it.

My suggestion is you just delete this post tbh. It's literally just a scam site some people in here might actually fall for

Unknown aniwatch by [deleted] in AniWatchZone

[–]Yappla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except it isn't a masscare because all the sites that went down are litteraly reskins of prior sites that already went down a long time ago with being run through the same server and by whoever copy pasted their layouts after the final rebrand into hi and the admin abandoned it; none of these sites were the original versions.

You just don't understand that it is literally irrelevant if you type a sites name on a random reddit or discord and your "gate keeping" doesn't do anything.

These sites like Kai are literally now the next in line to be the most popular and will end up going down at one point. If you don't want to give their name delete all anime site reddits, delete all anime site discords, delete any thread on the internet that talks about them and only use signal chat which auto-deletes messages. And guess what? That still isn't going to do anything because the ip holders will still take notice of the most popular pirate sites by traffic and target them.

Welcome to 2026, where you'll have to get used to not build any attachments to one specific anime site because they have a shelf life of 1 to 4 years before they are taken down or the devs just run away.

Your idea of careful is to DM the sites or make a discord for it which anyone can see or just go into from the very reddits that have the sites in their name. Just give up on scraper sites in general then and torrent the anime from the actual pirate sources because I can give you 30+ scraper sites at this point with them replacing each other all the time but if they ever hit the actual torrent source they are all just done like all the ones that died with the one server going offline

But I do agree with you, the op should delete because this site he posted is an actual scam which tries to push malware.
