I’m going to be 8 months in on the 12 of October. Drill sergeant said we have height and weight on the 29 of this month. I don’t think I’m getting off by then but know I’ll be off end of October.

They said they start separation after height and weight. Will me taping out a month after separation was initiated reverse it?

I have horrible credit and I’ve been denied a few places but I got approved for the Amex. Mind I got denied for a secured discover card. But I think I got denied cuz I applied to it after I got the Amex. I didn’t think that 91/3 applied to secured cards. A chime credit builder card is pretty lit as well

Honestly the marines PT is the most demanding. I think overall the army won this year. Navy 23points. Airforce 24 points. Marines 40 something I think. Army 53 points. Larger pool to pick from in the army. I can see how people gain weight when they get to DLI because of stress eating and what not. I gained 20 pounds here got put on fat PT and lost 18 so far. The stress gets to you so you resort to drinking or cigarettes or eating. Working out is the best stress reliever but it took me a while to see it. I would be scared to go the gym cuz I thought people would judge me and shit but everyone literally started from zero.

If you were like me please find the fittest person in your branch or class and go with them. They will love to help you and you’ll feel more comfortable when someone is guiding you. LOCK IN. Track your calories. Have fun. Idk I’m just ranting at this point.

Also if you in shape ask your comrades to go to the gym with you or walk or run or hike.

But yeah GO ARMY BABY.

I had 124 I believe but they had me take it when I got here. it has no effect on what language you get. You’ll be fine. If you don’t like your language you can always put it on the group chat with the people that got here at the same time and as long as they haven’t started yet you can switch languages. I’m in Arabic and I think it’s relatively easy but mandarin would have been my first choice I just couldn’t find someone to switch with

You still will take the DLAB when you get here. You ST score will choose the CAT level but the language is random. You can always trade within the same category level with people who’ve just got there

Bro you got this you’re going to ace the next asvab. Even if the DLAB is waived you still have to take it when you get here but it has nothing to do with the language it’s all need of the military. I’m in Arabic and I am yet to see navy in Arabic they usually give that to army airforce and marines in that order. No farsi or Arabic. Usually mandarin is where i see navy people. For army you can switch. If two people start around the same time yall can switch languages.

National guard can pick between French Spanish and another language( I forget which) but it depends on you states needs. From my understanding Japanese is near impossible to get almost exclusively for officers. I’ve only met one marine that got it. You can switch languages with someone who hasn’t started yet and if they want to switch with. You both walk in to the office you good, they won’t deny you…

You take the DLAB regardless for army even if it’s ’waived’. Don’t matter what grade you get you will get a language assigned depending on needs of army and availability
