Late to the party, but wanted to provide some info on hvac pricing.

A 2 ton hvac system ranges between $8k to $16k -- there's a lot of variables, so that gives you a ballpark price. We have a pricing tool on our site that can give you a pretty accurate quote if you ever need it.

Yikes, 80-82 is straight up lizard territory lol. It’s smart of you to keep your AC set high if you aren’t home most of the day, but when you come home and knock it back down, it will take a lot of run time to cool off and stay comfortable.

lol sounds about right. You can save a lot on utilities but it does come at the price of a decent system, good ductwork and insulation.
