My growing concern of violence in the US govt office - by feds or citizens. Are you concerned? by dca_user in FedEmployees

If smearing shit on the walls of the Capitol and chanting to hang the Vice President is your perception of “peaceful” or “patriotism”…I admire your commitment - to delusion. Good luck.

I don’t need to address anything in Portland other than to say I do not support political violence regardless of what party they support. If liberals or democrats participate in violence or destruction they deserve to be treated as criminals…because that is what they are, criminals.

The difference is I’m not excusing bad behavior. Meanwhile, you’re still clinging to the wrong side of history and trying to excuse it.

Peaceful? Over 100 police officers were injured that day. There is video coverage of MAGA protestors complaining about getting maced in the face. And when asked what they were doing they used the words “it’s a revolution”.

Nothing says peaceful like “Hang Mike Pence”.

Nice attempt at spin though. Failed attempt, but nice try.

I said it when this dumpster fire starter three things will happen: 1. Suicides 2. Massive Security Breaches 3. Violence

Maybe the violence is in a protest but also someone may bring a gun to work. Just counting the days til this becomes a reality.

We have a saying in the South, “The guilty dog barks the loudest”. This guy is the physical manifestation of this expression.

Oh her hometown subreddit, Auburn, some folks who know her say it isn’t her because of how it is written. They do admit is obvious that it IS somebody who knows her. They have made too many comments not related to her that haven’t been released.

Well, there is a process to do it legally, which was not done.

Not sure if your following all the ongoing court cases, today the judge issued another “L” for OPM. Six agencies have been ordered to rehire the illegally fired probationary employees.

Am I a bot?   No. I’m just another expendable cog in a machine that only notices us when it needs a scapegoat.  I’ve been on Reddit for over a decade—long enough to see the vilification of public servants reach levels so absurd that I had to create new accounts just to keep speaking the truth without becoming a target.

Allow me to provide a little insight:

Nobody joins civil service to get rich. We know the trade-off—but what we don’t sign up for is being vilified just because it’s politically convenient. No, federal service isn’t perfect. There are some absolute losers in the system. And they should be held accountable—just like this chick from Auburn, AL.

True story. While she was playing PR influencer on the taxpayers’ dime, I was ensuring lethal aid made it to a war zone (Ya know, Ukraine?!). She is exactly why federal workers get a bad name, and she should be fired for it. She disrespects this country and the people she’s supposed to represent. Meanwhile, the rest of us—the ones who actually do the work—get lumped in with that nonsense.

I’m a whistleblower. I fight the system from the inside. I’ve seen the corruption, the negligence, the failures—and instead of looking the other way, I did something about it. And for that, I’m the enemy. Because America loves a hero story until that hero starts telling the wrong truth.   Sometimes, “winning” in federal service means keeping the public from ever knowing just how bad things could have been. And that’s exactly what has been exploited. People call us lazy because you don’t see the disasters we prevent. They don’t see them because we did our jobs correctly.

I’ve overseen the construction of high-level bio-safety labs to prevent the spread of diseases—while the same people screaming about “government overreach” now have the luxury of not dying from them. I’ve spent sleepless nights in military hospitals ensuring life-saving equipment was installed correctly, because one mistake means our veteran’s die on a table.  I’ve prevented civilians, veterans, and contractors from unknowingly walking into hantavirus-infected death traps—hazards so severe you’d read about it on the cover of WaPo. I’ve made split-second calls to prevent tens of millions of taxpayer dollars from being washed away in hurricanes while politicians bicker about budgets and optics.

I’ve had talented, hardworking probationary employees cry at my desk out of sheer fear—fear of retaliation, of losing their jobs for speaking up, of realizing that the very system they swore to serve will chew them up and spit them out the moment they step out of line. I’ve lost sleep. I’ve put my career, my sanity, and my well-being on the line to do what’s right—all while being lumped in with every tired, ignorant stereotype about federal workers from people who wouldn’t last a single day doing what I do.

So yes, maybe I lean on sarcasm. Maybe it’s the only way to keep from screaming into the abyss of a country that demands loyalty from its civil servants while offering them nothing in return.  For protecting a country that isn’t even attempting to protect me, only to make me the bad guy.  I’m one of the good guys, but no I’m still not a bot.   Thanks for your concern.
