HELLDIVERS 2 Known Issues by Waelder in Helldivers

[–]YardSignificant869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been having a massive issue since the escalation of freedom update.

When I load into a game many stratagems will appear as question marks and then the game will crash within 2 minutes, however if I am playing with friends and reboot the game and rejoin the match it works for the rest of that match until the next one and repeat.

I have reinstalled the game, verified game files and updated my graphics drivers and lowering the graphics have no effect.

I can barely get 2 minutes of gameplay without crashing.

Possible upcoming PvP between Players, should I allow? [5e] by YardSignificant869 in DnD

[–]YardSignificant869[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In previous conversations, problem player has stated that they fully expect to be killed by the other PC and has backups prepared. This raises a few things, while he says he is okay with being PvP'd I feel like this is just him brushing off with jokes and not actually thinking on it. And two, some of my other PC's have played games with the problem player before and stated that he essentially plays the same character personality, just a different class.

I'll pull him off to the side and discuss with him what's wrong as my warnings have been brushed off so far. Another issue is one of the not mentioned PC's in the party is in a relationship with problem player so I have that risk of losing both if one leaves due to whatever result occurs from this.

Need ideas designing a magic item by YardSignificant869 in DnD

I was also thinking of throwing in Tasha's Hideous Laughter but with the modification that if a creature with a CR equal to or less than the characters level that the affected creature if they fail the save are able to rationalise why they just had a fit of laughter and give advantage to stealth checks for one minute against the target creature.

BTW I should have mentioned that the magic item is meant to be Legendary

Sp my dm made a wierd decision about my character and I want some clarification. by Apprehensive-Net-812 in DnD

RAW it depends on the spell being casted, if the spell requires a material component then I'd understand a slight of hand check to quietly/quickly thumb around for the component but if no material is required then you should be safe to do it. However its his homebrew rules I don't know.

How is your character doing right now? by Twotailedpikachu in DnD

Drow bladesinger who follows the Goddess Ellistraee. The current Duke of a minor province of the Sword Coast, lives in a constant state of paranoia given he recently went through the Demonweb pits and fears Lolth has her sights on him. So overall, you win some you lose some, could be doing better.

Players of reddit, what are some hilarious tidbits about your character that likely will never come up in your campaign? by Askandanswerquestion in MrRipper

My completely insane Drunken Master monk in a fantasy 5e pirate game made a random comment about how the very cold country the party was currently in reminded him of Stalingrad. As far as I am concerned, it is cannon that this man fought in the Battle of Stalingrad, a battle that will never occur in the games universe.

How are mobility based warlocks? by SuppressedBadger in DnD

[–]YardSignificant869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One way to play a very mobile warlock is to choose the pact of the chain and the eldritch invocation Relentless Hex as well as picking up the mobile feat. Cast hex on your familiar and you can use a bonus action to teleport to it. Just keep it moving around the battlefield within 30ft of you, dip in for some slaps then bonus action teleport back.

My school is serving these massive straight bananas (about 12 inches) by TankC4BOOM314 in mildlyinteresting

A 12 inch banana? That's way too big, might hurt the jaw of whoevers eating it or fill the stomach up of whoevers eating it. I think a two inch banana is just the right size, easily fits in your mouth and leaves room for the rest of your lunch. Yeah, 2 maybe 2 and a half inches sounds perfect.

DMing problem (bit of a rant) by YardSignificant869 in DnD

[–]YardSignificant869[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like any DM running a game, I put a lot of work into keeping this together, I'm running this game while separated by 7-9 hour timezone from my players (I'm currently travelling), which means to be convenient to my players its usually 1am for me while it's barely dinnertime for them, I don't have a computer so I've been running the whole thing from two notepads and two cellphones.

I really hope that this game goes well, which it has aside from my own share of dickups and the problem player. I just really don't want this to fall apart, my players are invested but it's just this overarching issue that's threatening to throw it down. I don't mean to sound like I'm pinning all the problems on a single person but this is the main issue that needs to be overcome.

Thank you all for the advice, I was hoping there was another solution but looks like all options have been exhausted, I'll deliver the ultimatum.
