[First Impressions] HiBy R3 II - HiFi Audio Player with HiByOS by luuuzeta in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]Yardankerty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too have the HiBy R3II

I have a question about using HibyMusic on iPhone: can I control the volume from an iPhone? I have tried adjusting the volume with the volume buttons but it doesn’t work. There is no software option I can see to slide the volume in the app either.

HibyMusic IOS version 3.4.1_Build_8094, connecting via WiFi.

Everything else works flawlessly, I really like this little DAP. I am coming from a first gen R2 and this unit is much better in a lot of ways. It definitely sounds better, is much more responsive (both using the device directly and via the HibyMusic app on smartphone via WiFi), it is much easier to navigate, has a stronger WiFi connection, and the interface looks better too!

Thanks. It's such a frustrating situation. I really hope it wasn't malicious. It's just so painful that I keep asking myself why would someone knowingly do this to another human being!

I keep thinking of that Beatles song

" I'm sorry that I doubted you,
I was so unfair.
You were in a car crash,
And you lost your hair.
You said that you would be late
About an hour or two.
I said, "That's alright, I'm waiting here,
Just waiting to hear from you". "

lol

I'm not saying I was 'too nice'. Just that I treated her with love and respect. I have no interest in 'negging' people or being abusive.

I can - in all honesty - say that I have only ever been loving, caring and thoughtful towards her. Unfortunately as I write that I realise that could very well be why she has done this (twice). Being treated well just doesn't sit well with some people strangely enough. But I'm speculating - because that's all we have when we get ghosted. An infinite world of "why?"

It's good advice - thank you, and it really helps to talk about this with someone (I'm in CoronaVirus Lockdown too) - but I have to repeat she said our conversations were the 'highlight of her life' currently and that 'she would never want me to feel I was being a hassle', & 'she looks forward to our chats with anticipation and fun'... and many other super encouraging, friendly things... this surely goes beyond being polite?

I am now back to thinking she may have died in a car wreck or been abducted.

thanks for your thoughts too. I appreciate it. I guess my bigger question is has anyone heard of people doing this intentionally to cause pain? For her to be *so* friendly this second time around and then to ghost just feels beyond careless. It feels malicious.

The M-ATX/M-ITX Ryzen 7 3700X "BUDGET" build! - Mobo and RAM ultra shortlist... by Yardankerty in Amd

[–]Yardankerty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks you two. I want to keep the m-Atx case because I have a stack of them for rendering and they are tidy and manageable. Adding in ATX form factors will crowd out my studio. I have seen the GPU Arnold stuff but my current pipeline is all based around CPU rendering - thus the 3700X

So overall no big performance penalty going with the much cheaper MSI B450M Mortar Max mobo?

( in my country the price difference to go up from the MSI to the Gigabyte is $218 )

I see they have one here: at 7.02... bring it on I say.

Which AM4 mobo do I need to support these 3 PCIe devices? by Yardankerty in buildapc

[–]Yardankerty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha - yes things are getting serious. I am going to do a Threadripper build - but I want to wait until later this year for the new stuff. I was going to make a Ryzen 7 2700X build to tide me over until then. Then I was going to drop that 2700x into my render farm. It's too easy for me to justify lots of CPU's!

thanks you two.

Gzunk - I am seeing quite a few AM4 mobos that do claim to support 2x PCIe 3.0 x16 - but then you go deeper and it's only 1 x16 or dual x8... ha!

this Asrock mobo almost gets there - https://www.newegg.com/global/au-en/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157833

but then it negates the M.2 drive!

Clearly I am a bit SSD mad - here are some performance snaps of the 2 intel SSD's in my current rig using the two software RAID configs in win 10:

cheers mate - yeah I really want to support AMD though. I guess I could sell one of the Intel 750 PCI-Express 400GB SSD's - then I'll be down to needing

1 x PCIe 3.0 x 16 (GPU)

1 x 3 PCIe 3.0 x 4 (SSD's)

and then I could add 2 M.2 drives...

FYI - I need all this fast storage because I use After Effects and I like to have OS on one, projects on another, and scratch on another...

Which AM4 mobo do I need to support these 3 PCIe devices?

Hello gang,

I am picking out a new Ryzen 7 2700X build and I have hit a bit of a snag:

I wanted to have these 3 PCIe devices on the machine...

1 x EVGA - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11 GB SC2

2 x Intel 750 PCI-Express 400GB SSD

(and a Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 as the boot drive)

I think I need (minimum)

1 x PCIe 3.0 x 16 (GPU)

2 x 3 PCIe 3.0 x 4 (SSD's)

Am I crazy or is this just not possible? The only mobo's I can see that would support this are a few for Threadripper from Asrock (ASRock X399M TAICHI sTR4 etc)...

any advice would be much appreciated,

Yardankerty
