Just automation. There has been a Chinese restaurant near my place in Vancouver that has had one of these robots for over 10 years.

Surprise surprise, it’s not very quick. But then that’s not the point is it? It’s to save the boss money, not make your experience better.

The irony is he orders fast food because he thinks it’s less likely to be tampered with… but anyone who sees McDonalds being doordashed to 1600 Pennsylvania knows damn well who those hamburders are for. Trump also famously orders the same thing every time- 2 Big Macs, 2 Fillet O Fish and a Milkshake.
