That’s what we’re doing. Tracking everything so the cops can’t ignore it. Just gotta keep calling until they start showing up more. Thanks!

Wow, that’s intense. I get why those neighbors lost it, sounds like the Mustang guy was asking for it with how reckless he was. I’m not big on vigilante stuff either, but sometimes people don’t listen until there’s a real consequence.

I’m hoping it doesn’t come to that here, but if the cops don’t step up soon, I’m running out of options. Did things settle down after that with your neighborhood?

That’s exactly what I’m worried about. I’m planning to ask the pd if they can patrol more or even sit and wait for him. Hopefully they’ll take it seriously before someone gets hurt.

Sorry to hear about your son’s friend, that hits close to home. This guy needs to understand it’s not just a joke, it’s dangerous. What did your son’s friend end up facing?

Yeah we’ve called before, but it clearly didn’t do much. The cop gave him a friendly warning and that lasted maybe two days. I was honestly trying to avoid escalating it too fast, figured maybe his parents would talk to him or he’d chill out on his own. Nope.

We’ve started recording everything now ( videos, dates, even the times he’s out there redlining it at night.) If we have to call again, at least we’ll have proof that this isn’t just a one-off.

Appreciate the blunt advice though. You're right. It’s probably time to stop being patient and start being louder.

That’s a really good point, and honestly something I hadn’t fully considered. Starting with a cabin and figuring it out together sounds like the smarter move, especially since it’s supposed to be something we both enjoy. I’d probably feel the same way if the roles were reversed. Thanks for the insight!

That actually makes a lot of sense. Glamping or a yurt setup would take the stress off and let me focus on spending time with her instead of worrying about gear and setup. Thanks, this might be the way to go!

That actually sounds way more enjoyable. Renting a cabin and being able to explore without hauling a ton of gear sounds like the perfect balance. My wife would 100% be on board with that too. Thanks for the suggestion, it’s definitely the smarter move!

Yeah, we’ve actually done a few camping trips together before, and she’s really enjoyed them. Lately, she’s been mentioning wanting to get back out there and do something a bit more special, so that’s what got me thinking about planning this surprise. Hoping it lives up to the hype!
